I lobe da video games! Resident Evil 7 is my newest inspiration... I like it a lod... The game explores the masculinity of an Ethan Winters, as he hunts for his girlfriend, Mia in Dulvey Louisiana. Themes of chivalry, mahood and agnosticism are raised in the game, with deep humidity!
Ethan is trying to solve a puzzle... so-to-speak! What makes a man? How can we define manhood? What are the constructs of manhood... very deep questions. Is the salvation of a family manly? Saving your girlfriend? Is it simply the will to survive that makes us men? A lot of really deep questions probed in the game... very organic and bleak game, Resident Evil VII!
Play it if you get the chance! You get the opportunity to save Asian Gorl! There's even a flashback section where you play as her... pretty good if you ask me!
Your fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger
Like a scatterbrained atheist But that ain't the case See it's a matter ob taste We as the people decide If Shady's as bad as they say he is Or is he an atheist!?
I know Catfish likes the rap musics...
Your fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger
So now that we god all the preliminary metaphors and themes outta da way... let's talk about da meat and potatoes ob what makes this game so good!
Resident Evil VII is a first-person survival horror game! You run and gun as the player character, solving puzzles and patching yourself up with whatever resources you can find around. The entire game is 100% gameplay heavy! No scripted quick time events, no crappy railroaded segments! Everything you do is a matter of whether you're skilled with a shotgun or a pistol... Very good gameplay design choice, very... organic! Like Mold. lole!!
The gameplay consists of using the inventory and safe box to loot and exchange important items. Just like your classic Resident Evil games, except this time you can have a direct influence on the things you find! Creating all kinds of powerful ammunition and healing items, you can even create drugs which help you find more items littered around!
It's split into three difficulties. Easy, Normal and Madhouse. Each difficulty scrambling the item and weapon locations! Keeps the game nice and spicy, refreshing! Overall da gameplay... I godda rate it a nine... oudda ten.
Da sound direction in dis game is flawless fren! They musta hired some really good creative artists, cause the zombies really come to life audibly! Roar! Rage! Schlick!
The sound effects can be pretty gnarly at times... I think they even used a watermelon to simulate the sound of a head getting blown off! You can check out dose sounds here!
Not to mention the voice acting! Those Louisiana accents really pull the story together! Between the Bakers and Mia, the whole game is just a feast for the ears! Tons of great panicked shrieks and cries for help! "Ethan, help!" Asian Gorl, I'll save you! Gonna kill dat bad guy, grr...
So now we come to the best part ob any video game... da presentation! As we all know, presentation is key! Imagine a keynote speech... but it was done on a powerpoint. lole! Very ugly, gaudy! So not stylish! Fans of the series will be happy to know that the game is absolutely robust! It's covered from head to toe in style, from the subtle car sounds in-menu, to the lavish and ludoconsonant collectibles throughout the game! Everything overlaps really well, creating an intricate and layered experience... basic gameplay elements are layered by advanced mechanics, and advanced mechanics layered by meta! And then there are Easter Eggs on top of that layer too!
For example, did you know the piano is a recurring theme in the Resident Evil universe? Each member of S.T.A.R.S has a unique relationship with pianos! Chris Redfield can't play at all, while Jill is a natural! Rebecca Chambers is a slow-learner and well, don't even get me started on Jake Muller or Leon! The piano is significant of a character's ability during crisis... if you look at Resident Evil like a mystery novel, you can really assess it as a whodunit! And characters who play the piano well, well... they're "key" to the setting!
Yeah! The game is excellent. I think it's their masterpiece. They cannot make a better game than this! It's such a good commentary on television mysteries and rural myths! Is the stuff you see on T.V. real? Is it fake? What causes people to disbelieve their eyes?
i guess i didn't make myself clear. i can't help but disagree with you Yea Forums being an excellent place to discuss vidya. it's not terrible, but it's definitely not good either. i haven't been to a single thread in there in the past 3 to 4 years that haven't been derailed by race-baiting and pointless buzzwording in less than five replies. also, in regards to my opinion, i don't you're being serious. in fact, i think that the way this site is set up, it's rather difficult for anyone's opinions to matter unless they resonate with a large number of people. i've been thinking about this lately, and i find it weird how opinions on certain topics become popular and part of the culture here. it all seems luck to me. still, that's not the say that said opinions aren't properly argued, but it's often the case that well constructed arguments are buried by the race-baiting and buzzwording i was talking about. i guess what i'm trying to say is that your thread is nice and i like it. please don't say i have a school mentality or i'll be very upset with you for a few hours.
Hm... I think I understand. Which is to say, I stand under which you instruct. Which infers, I abide by the prescriptions of knowledge which you prefer, under this particular mode of intellection. Thereby meaning, that where I stand, is at the nadir of discussion, in this particular equation of discovery, that being a conversation; of which we deliberate.
