Uhm... Personally I got used to it. It's like having long hair. They are an issue sometimes when you consume a meal or something but after a moment you just kind of ignore it.
I have a brush. Everyday when I come back to the hotel after a day, I'm having a shower and brush my tails. It is a common part of my hygiene. However humans can't see my tails, because of a simple stealth spell. But they are there haha!
Maybe a little. But once your body feels the chill of a fresh water from a mountain, you feel like being one with nature. It is a beautiful feeling.
