Looking into buying a new impact driver. What do you guys think: DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Makita?
Looking into buying a new impact driver. What do you guys think: DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Makita?
get out of here yellow faggot. no one comes to /b to talk about tools.
I do, and I don't mean to be rude, but your comment wasn't very helpful.
They are ok home depot tier equiptment
I work for an authorized service center, and Milwaukee definitely has a much better impact. They last longer and the batteries are compatible with more accessories.
The “20v Max” is a scam, it’s 20 running volts which is exactly what all other 18v tools are when being used, so don’t let that be a factor when buying.
buy a hilti leafyboi
What a fucking faggot
Do you even know anything? Ryobi is ridgid are home Depot tier shit. Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee are all high tier tools.
Makita. It has the same performance but best ergonomics by far.
Compare the grip of both and you'll know which one to buy.
This
Or a Bosch
Fewalts are good
Bosch very good
Stay away from green bosch. Just as crappy as black&decker.
get a milwaukee. dont get memed into makita
>black&decker.
The real fucking scam artists here.
>let's make plastic power tools that use proprietary batteries and chargers that are all different sizes and specifications for every different tool
>unless they buy the more expensive ones
>Looking into buying a new impact driver. What do you guys think: DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Makita?
These look pretty good
that's a reciprocating saw, dummy
>blackanddeckerpeckerwrecker
holeee fuck, it does exist
A brushless porter cable is half the price and has the same torque and power but dewalt over the rest if you want real advice the are just overall better and iv had all of them
Hilti
Home Depot fag her ego dewalt or Milwaukee be sure to fill out your warranty info online. If anything goes wrong with your tool the manufacturer will replace with either the same model or the closest model if it’s been discontinued.
dewalt, Makita for contractors
Milwaukee for automotive
All shit compared to hilti
milwaukee is for tradies, wrench spinners just benefit from our good tools
this, 5 year warrenty for Milwaukee and I think like 20 bucks for 2 more years.
I have already used it once but ive not had an issue since and I use the shit out of mine
>that's a reciprocating saw, dummy
Sorry. It seemed to have an impact on that stick-on dildo. I'll keep looking for you
Snap on
Milwaukees pulled way ahead in the cordless tool department. Dewalt a close second and Makita is last. Makita makes great tools they've just stopped giving a fuck about cordless it seems.
Here you go
Fuck you bitch, diy is that way >>>>
im not complaining, I abuse my mil tools and they are better made, best warranty and cheaper the snap-on, mac, matco, cornwell, or anyone else
Black&decker?
More like Crack in Dicker
im not either you guys need good shit that isnt priced like tool truk stuff
Milwaukee are now owned by TTI out of Hong Kong
>mfw I can only afford black&decker from target
and? you know theres 3 conglomerations that own all the tool companies right?
Tfw using a jigsaw and a table saw to work on cars
keep saving, dewalt isnt much more for much better tools
>802418550
I have only found snap-ons to be a bit stronger. but 1 year warrenty and like 200+ more? fuck you guys
cornwell guy also sells. atleast mine does. he sells Milwaukee
sometime you just have to make due Yea Forumsrother
thats handy asf, but tbh im happy milwaukee doesnt have a tool truck
Milwaukee if you have the cash.
Dewalt tool are shit burn the batteries have a long warranty.
Back the fuck up, a real impact gun is coming through
thats old as fuck
found the tool truk cuck
Personally I think Milwaukee and DeWalt are very similar. I almost bought a Milwaukee impact and drill but most of the guys at my shop use Milwaukee so I didn't want to start confusing batteries and tools like they tend to do so I bought a DeWalt. Four and a half years in and it still works great. The battery even survive a 16 foot drop. I'll also add that we have a fiberglass Department that gets very messy and labor-intensive as well. The company bought them Ryobi (or however you spell it) and I've seen those take one hell of a beating and keep ticking.
this thing is bad ass I aint going to lie. but im not paying 800 dollars
Porter Cable.
>Ryobi take one hell of a beating and keep ticking.
lol no
yea I know but a lot of it is still pretty valid. harbor now has icon I believe
I think they are closer to $1200 new but God damnit are they worth every penny.
I work on big shit (mostly cranes) and it's the only impact that even comes close to a pneumatic without having to drag hose around
Check out ave reviews on youtube. I like the channel.
"Lol" yes. Trust me I know that's not a great brand. But I also know what I see. That thing gets covered in resin fiberglass and drop all the time and yet the same one is still going on 2 years or more.
they about 800, coworker bought one a couple months ago. it does work like a champ. maybe 1200 for a kit? no its about 900 for the kit, gun, charger, battery
Carpenter fag here.
I’ve had a porter cable 20v for years and been pleasantly surprised with how well it’s held up.
Lifelong contractor here. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: They are all exactly the same. They are are all pretty good quality and they all will stand up to daily use, day after day and they all will do what you bought them to do. You will more than get your money's worth out of any of the well known brand names, Any faggot who shills for one brand over another is the same type of queer who has a Calvin pissing on the ford/chevy/dodge decal on his faggot beat-up pickup truck because that's the most expensive accessory he can afford.
I like Ryobi
I dont remember how much I spent exactly but I did get the kit with 3/4 drive and sockets up to 2 inch
Especially considering it's a shop tool and not someone's personal tool no one takes care of it. Which is why it leaves is all surprised when we see how well it still works. I'd still rather get a DeWalt or Milwaukee over Ryobi any day. But in a pinch if I needed a tool and didn't want to spend a bunch of money I definitely know it's something to consider now
I have a Craftsman (pre-sell out) love it. I think of the three you listed, I would go with Milwaukee or Makita (most likely Milwaukee). I've had too many DeWalts...the batteries seem to die out fast.
I wanted to buy Milwaukee soldering iron but it has no temperature adjustment.
>>>THIS DUDE CONTRACTS
Those are 3/8 drills not impacts
Bosch is my advice. Take this as an absolute grain of salt put I have seen bosch hammer drills that have lasted over 10 years.
cpomilwaukeedotcom has good deals on factory refurbs.
I found it informative...and it's not that old. Stanley just got Craftsman last year or so.
i got a crapsman pre sell out to. what 6 years ago? ive had to buy a new battery since but I don't use it as much anymore unless im on the other side of our shop
that sounds right for 3/4
dident even knew they did. the don't show it on their online catalog
What kind of tools should every guy know how to use?
I don't have a job related to it but im curious
This goes on /diy/ if you faggots are this serious about board integrity then at least do it right.

thanks for the thread, im looking at the same companies for impact and drill combo. leaning towards dewalt because my family has it and ill be able to swap batteries and charge them more conveniently , but the guys i work with all have milwaukee.
does anyone have a pros and cons of working with both tool lines? actual experiences and things they know specifically about each tool?
a wrench, tire iron, and jack. bare minimum
impact driver and drill, skill saw, miter saw. thats all you need to really know to do basic stuff for yourself
What brands do you have already?
I like dewalt myself but mostly because that's what I have and I can use the battery and charger for all my tools.
changing your own tires
basic carpentry work
Honestly I like my PC stuff because everybody on every job site has Milwaukee and dewalt shit, so nobody picks up my shit by accident.
actually since b is technically a "random" board. this is technically right
Just an aside, anybody bought WEN stuff? I have their track saw, planer, and Bandsaw. The planer is just okay, prefer the dewalt I had at my old shop, but the other two were solid for the price.
yes but. knowing how to use a wrench. plumbing, minor repairs with various things that use nuts and bolts
tire iron it will come with that you understand how sockets works
you can add hammers and screwdrivers
I’ve had a ryobie impact and regular drill. The drill is going on 7 years now and it’s just now finally starting to give me issues. The bit tightening part slips now and then, but 7 years for 99 bucks ain’t bad. It’s fallen off my 8 and 12 foot ladder countless times
Go for the m18 brushless with a 5.0 amp battery and you will never be let down. Best value for what you get
fair enough but i find non powered hand tools pretty self explanitory, everyone should own a socket set and know how to use a wrench, you are right
Lol pornfag telling someone to use the right board
You know what, you are completely correct. My 3/4 drive is a pneumatic and my electric is 1/2. I'm still drunk from last night
Can buy a harbor freight hercules that's just as good for 1/4 the price. fuck off tool truck homo.
Hey that decal pays for itself every other day
Makita or Hilti
You've never had a callous on your hands except from beating off. Never again comment in a thread where real men are discussing tools, junior.
Ave talks like a retarded half drunk canuck, but that dude is a freaking genius engineering-wise.
Whatever you say, pedro......
The only reasonable voice in this shill-filled faggot thread.
You are as bad as the yellow-tards.
Quit trying to control others speech.
FREEDOM!
Miter saw? Yeah because everyone is cutting angled trim wood every day.
Yeah, because that’s all you do with a miter saw...
Been a carpenter for 10 years and could have done all 10 years without ever using a miter saw. They are nice, but far from essential.
Bumping
Framer detected.
That IS what I say. And it's what I said. And it's 100% factual. Deal with it, fag.
Shhhhhhh, sweet baby girl...men are talking.
Cut angles? Yeah, that's pretty much all you do with a miter saw, Don't get me wrong, I love my miter saw but it's near last on my list when I'm considering "essential" tools.
I know there is one Dewalt impact driver that has some problems with the motor catching on fire so if you want to get an impact right now I would go with Milwaukee or makita
Roofer/framer actually, and a miter saw is invaluable to me and has saved me literally YEARS in man-hours, but for a non professional tradesman, they are just a fancy luxury that rarely gets used.
Like you said it saves time and therefore increases profit. Not essential, but pays for itself.
Absolutely. I was just replying to the guy who said that it was an essential tool for the average diy-er.
Gotcha.
Fuck a miter box, tho.
Pucker, sucker.
