How is Amazon to work for? If you dont mind telling, because I have an upcoming job for amazon in one of their programs.
Not OP, but their warehouse associates get literally butt fucked by the company on a daily basis, especially on prime day,. The two prime days I worked were both two 12 hour shifts on top of my already 40 hour work week. They try to make it "fun" by doing prizes and raffles and shit like that, but they also increase your expected rates on those days, meaning you need to work harder just to maintain good standing.
Corporate Amazon is a different story though, but equally as exploitative of their workers. I had a friend from college who works in corporate and management will literally try to pit employees against each other to increase productivity. It's a pretty toxic work environment where you can't really trust anyone of your peers because any weakness they dig up on you they will exploit to get ahead.
OP Here. Was Gonna Say The Same Thing
My favorite thing about working in the fulfillment centers was that anytime there was an injury caused by an automated system, the employee was always blamed and the news would report that it was due to "human error", even though they literally don't teach you how to work around the systems and when something fails, it was our job to attempt to manually fix it. I saw a person lose a finger on the pack line because our auto taper jammed and when they went to fix the jam, they didn't know you had to push the emergency kill switch on the line. It began moving the second the jam was clear and it crushed their finger in the process.
