the reason other people would, is because they have just always owned consoles since they were younger, and never transitioned to a PC. they stay with their respective console brand, because the friends they made are still there. i remember when i moved to PC gaming, i had to more or less quit talking to people that i used to, because we weren't able to play games together anymore.

I do it cause I want a few games that havnt been ported to pc. So I got an Xbox one, a ps4, and my gaming rig. I have a job and money to spend so I find it comfortable to have whatever I want whenever I want.

That's what I did with my pc. Rich people sell shit on Craigslist cheap all the time. Check out local tech drop offs. People throw away broken hardware all the time that's still under warranty. That's how I got my last graphics card. I just sent it in for free and got a new one. You just have to look around and be frugal.
