Yea Forums is the containment board for loli, it has nowhere else to go. That's why the Angel of Yellow Death passes over their threads.
I feel like yellowposting, while closer to doing it for the lulz than Yea Forums has been in a long time, also kind of misunderstands the problem it's trying to solve. Yes, the Yea Forumsoard was so choked with porn/ratemydick/log threads that oc was getting pruned before anyone had a chance to react to it, but that's still happening, now just with yellow instead of porn. There have been many attempts to cure the cancer killing Yea Forums, and without anything to replace the cancer after it's removed, once everyone loses interest, it just slowly works its way back in.
Fundamentally, the problem is a simple numbers game. With so many users on Yea Forums, and the amount of new posts so high, that by the time anyone figures out how to react to a piece of original or random content, the thread's already 404'ed. This means that either you have to spam threads with the OC until people like it (remember when that was looked down upon as forced meme?), or stick with content everyone is already familiar with and knows how to react to (nazis, roll/combo/ylyl threads, and yes, porn).
This is based on the premise that yellowposting has an objective other than lulz. if not, then it's tops with me.
