/pol/ could very well be infested with drifters, but over the years, the ones I've seen wander in, get horribly offended and leave when their arguments are ignored.

Though Tumblr Does have a track record with us, which makes me lean more toward them.

8ch is really not suspicious to me, at all. They've got a lot of internal shit going on, and their Alt-Right is breaking down. Could be an act, but it would be a weird act. That's a very good point.
With a lack of more thought-provoking threads, porn rises to the top.
That being said, that also means when this raid is over, people will get bored again, and revert back to the porn.
That means that the best offense against all the porn threads would be more interesting threads. But with yellow spamming, that tells me it has nothing to do with porn, and everything to do with wanting to be included in some kind of movement, even if it's pointless and temporary.
