What are you doing? If you want quality go anywhere else that isn't here or r*ddit. Hobby specific boards on just about any other website are infinitely better.

this. You're irredeemable if you've ever seriously used Yea Forums. Why does that board exist again? Majority of the boards are just dead weight and containment. Probably also why Yea Forums go so bad, taking away people who'd otherwise talk about their topics here instead.

i could absolutely do without bot/porn/social media/int threads diluting the index. for better or worse, even the shittiest mods used to have a positive net impact on making this site less boring. nowadays they seem to be occupied with other things or bored.
Again, those are the only boards I feel comfortable posting on. When one of them becomes ultra shit, I usually just do a circuit around the entire site and stop at boards that I'm kinda interested in. For instance, /n/ and /sci/, I don't like posting on them though because /n/ is slow as fuck, talking months old threads and days in between posts, and I'm not actually very smart so it doesn't feel right to participate in conversations on /sci/.
It's not about the quality, it's about just not being able to find anything interesting or post because the boards are being flooded and are borderline unusable. Everyone is in the Smash sticky or one of the 50 Smash threads and on here every thread is just porn or saying to ban porn. Nothing fun, interesting, or varied which is what I look for in a board.
Yea Forums is literally the funniest board on here and makes the best OC. They've just been being flooded by constant non-stop Avengers, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, etc. It gets really boring after a while.
the bots, and social media images could definitely be banned under Global rule 4 and 14. But mods generally don't care about any thing that happens on Yea Forums unless it's something illgal (CP). It's just too much to keep under control.
Does anyone even know who the mods are anymore? Didn't the old crew all get replaced before moot left?

That's just the way the WWW is these days in general really. Blame society for giving every idiot a device with near instant access to everything. so they can spew their bullshit.
Guess I never really gave it a chance. But these days it seems like Yea Forums where everyone is a pedestrian faggot.
The site is just so bad on a technical level. Everytime I've used it during the day, there is always some site-wide slowdown and it becomes unusable for like half an hour. The design, I find is also not very conducive to the image board experience. It seems to follow the Reddit ideology that not all boards are created equally and only few will actually show up on the front page. You then have to hunt down a good topic where you'll most likely find a board filled with infighting and drama between 20 or so people including the board owner. If the board owner ever gets pissed off, it's game over and the entire board can be gone in seconds. It's literally exactly like Reddit and I hate, it has no right to call itself and imageboard even though it has an excessive amount image related features. I mean come on, for what reason would you actually need to post 4 images at the same time or a fucking mp4?
