the city is killing me, I want to live in a rural area, the coast or the mountains. Is it stupid thinking about this? My only need is internet and a place to sleep.

honestly, apart from nightclubs and some convenience the city fucking sucks.
start just looking for work in a country area and just take the plunge.
best way I reckon is find a rural town of like 10k~50k population, find work there and then get a place to live outside of town. driving into town to work or do grocery shopping will only be a minor inconvenience compared to living in the forest, by a lake or in the middle of nowhere.
