I think that people like the backrooms because most of us enjoy the idea of simple Urban exploring,
the backrooms are on a whole different level though.
However if you think back to your childhood it was always kind of an instinct to explore abandoned areas, just because you're curious to see what's there to find.
and the backrooms... well they have some kind of inviting charm to them, you gotta admit that.

I cannot dream anything else but backroom areas.

I have this weird idea.. this strange compulsion ever since I was old enough to understand Ayy Lmaos could possibly exist...

For some reason, I want to just go out, deep into the forest by myself and wait for them to take me away. Is that kind of like the same thing?

It can't possibly be real, but it does resemble some dreams I've had. Wandering through empty yet seemingly occupied places with maze-like layouts is kind of a dream archetype lots of people have, which makes the Backrooms appear strangely familiar despite none of us having actually been there.

I've mentioned this before, but they remind me of a game idea I had that would involve "accidentally" glitching into empty, unfinished or discarded levels to uncover a mystery. The original Backrooms picture reminds me of what I imagined well enough (visually speaking as well as in terms of concept) that it was kind of spooky. But I guess there is something universally kind of creepy about that. Plus, we've all played video games.

So how can we borrow some of that space. Our office is packed full and I have an annoying coworker sitting with me in my office.

well noclip means that you have no hitbox or that you aren't constrained by the terrain, meaning you could go under the map and fly to the destination, unassailable by those planes.
