Not sure if it's my heart or lungs, but I've been having some chest pain lately that has been getting worse. It usually comes on when I go a long period without smoking cigs, but now it's there constantly. It's like when I take a deep breath, there's pressure there, almost like a blockage or something. It's pretty hard to explain.
Basically should I be worried? Should I go to the doctor and ask to see a specialist? It normally goes away after I smoke but now it isn't. Maybe someone knows what I'm referring too? I'm 28 years old
I'm planning to quit next week after i finish my classes and I already drink a lot of water. What's a good time frame for this to go away? At what point should I be worried if it doesn't?
Colton Wright
Sounds like your lungs are fucked from the smoking. You should stop now and get on the patch. But if you're coughing up blood it's not cancer or anything serious.
Evan Miller
Also >Hur can't quit because xyz
That's just an issue to stay addicted. Next week it'll be another issue. Just stop smoking man it's 2019, that shit is played out.
Jacob Sanders
I'm leaning towards it being my lungs, especially since I got winded from even the lightest of exercise
I know, I'm tempted to throw out the rest of my cigarettes. I have one more paper to knock out though but the second I'm done with it I'm gonna stop smoking.
Robert Taylor
"I'll quit next week" Next week. "I'll quit tomorrow!" Tomorrow. "I'll quit whenever I want to!" Will never quit.
Henry Johnson
honestly, sounds like it could be early-onset COPD: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
usually it comes from like long years of smoke damage, where it fucks up the bronchioles in your lungs that help exchange oxygen in the air for the carbon dioxide in your blood. it's treatable, but can kill you if it's not addressed early
Chest pains and difficulty breathing are instant red flags on every medical level. Could be nothing, but knowing it isn't and wondering if it is are two different feelings.
Also, going to the internet for medical advice is bad. That's how you end up with advice to mix chlorine and ammonia and breathe it in (don't do that).
Damn, is it normal for this to happen to someone in their fucking 20s though?
Already did that, apparently it's high for me. Are you saying that's what causing this?
I don't have an issue with breathing in general, its just this weird pain in the heart of my chest. But like I said, it usually goes away with a smoke or two so i never worried about it. It's just been the last few days that it hasn't.
Jackson Diaz
I have health insurance I don't have to worry about paying
Yes I know
Cameron Bennett
Nobody is saying what's causing what, we're a bunch of playful idiots, not a congregation of medical professionals - go see a fucking doctor.
Bentley Nelson
look bro, if you're reduced to asking fucking Yea Forums for medical advice about a health condition that makes breathing hurt, that's a sign of "go see a fucking doctor before you drop dead"
Julian Brooks
When over half the thread says see a doctor instead of listening to Yea Forums, it probably means there's other medical fags like me lurking this thread hoping you don't try quick fixes or typical troll bullshit.
Like I said, chest pain OR trouble breathing are big red flags that everyone who holds any medical certification knows is a big deal. You get bumped through to the doctor pretty fast when you say chest pains. Which is what you're saying.
Luke Clark
Fine I'll see my doctor. I was just hoping maybe someone knew what it was.
Chase Adams
What you described can literally be a thousand things to Include nothing. They'll run some basic tests, progressing to the more detailed tests until they know what it is.
David Long
Well I dunno if it's "chest pains" or just pressure IN my chest, if that makes sense. It's not like I'm in constant pain and can't breathe. It's just if I try to take a deep breath, there's some pressure in the middle of my chest, like there's something blocking the oxygen from going in or something. But it's fine, I'll see my doctor on Monday. That other user mentioned high cholesterol does that play a factor? Because I do have it
Jacob Nguyen
What other tests can my PC doctor do though? She already did a physical and blood work. At this point I'll have to see a heart doctor, and I have Obama care so you know they're all gonna be shit anyway.
Carter Ortiz
Listen to It can be everything from asthma to cancer, via stress, infection, it can be the heart, it can be the lungs, it can be a thousand of unpleasant things, ranging from annoying to deadly.
Bentley Murphy
X-rays because they're the least expensive. Then probably an MRI if those show nothing. An MRI is probably the furthest they'd go, but no one in this thread to include me knows everything they'll do. If the MRI shows normal, thay'll give you some meds, tell you to quit smoking (maybe toss chantix your way) and tell you to come in if it gets worse. If shit DOES show, they'll have a whole road you'll take to confirm a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Liam Ward
Other than maybe fatigue, there's nothing else wrong with me. So it's not cancer right? I'm just sick of constantly going to the doctor only to waste my fucking time. "Oh yeah we'll do X, but oops you're gonna have to come back hehe". I may as well walk into the ER, at least then I'll get answers faster you know?
Jose Thomas
We can't say that it isn't. It's not overly likely at your age, even with the smoking. But regardless shortness of breath is quite a worrying symptom
Mason Mitchell
Lmao thank you man, seeing posts like this warms my heart.
I quit smoking/vaping a year ago but I was only on it for a couple years. But I've felt so fucking healthy since and no longer have any desire for nicotine.
Seeing posts like yours makes me fucking laugh. I hope you die you rotten scum smoker.
Just die. You're 28, which means you've been smoking for ~10 years probably.
Your life expectancy has already plummeted, what's even the point now? I'd recommend just killing yourself.
Dominic Sanders
Again, it's not a shortness of breath. Think of it like this, you think a deep breath with your nose or mouth, then you feel pressure in the middle of your chest. That's what I have. Otherwise I'm breathing normally.
Gavin Torres
I should die because I've been smoking for 10 years? Because you're a saint, I'm sure.
Carter Lee
My grandma went to the doctor because she had a head cold and found out she had lung cancer. We don't know, man. We can't and shouldn't rule anything out.
Jeremiah Watson
BRUH I had this same thing awhile ago when I was smoking.
Like a sharp pain (didn't really hurt, but a "sharp" sensation) right in the middle on my ribs?
I got checked out and they found a "cyst" in my lower lung. Eventually they determined it was not benign and started calling it for what it was, a tumor. But I had surgery and was ok, I quit since then. You should get it checked out ASAP.
The tumor causes your chest to have less "free volume" so when you breath out all the way the middle of your ribs has a "tight" or sharp feeling.
Evan Stewart
I jerkoff to Loli on a daily basis
So yeah, you could say that
Bentley Hughes
But did it go away after you smoked? Because I've had this for years, maybe 3 or so and after I smoke I'm fine. It's just been the last few days that now its not going away. I'm sorry you went through that, but I really doubt it's cancer. But like I said I'm gonna go to the doctor on Monday just to be sure, but I already know it'll be a waste of time and I'll have to wait weeks to see a kike specialist thanks to niggercare.
Jonathan Cruz
Yeah it was the weirdest thing, they said it was probably related to the nicotine relaxing my muscles and releasing tension
Sebastian Scott
its stress user, i am experiencing the same stuff and went to the doctor, got xrays and ekg machine, she said no cure youre just stressed, i am afraid to goto the gym i think i am going to have a heart attack, plan on an heroing after my dogs dies, i give up theres nothing left i just want to die
Nathan Robinson
Damn dude, dont an hero just hang in there. How old are you?
Lincoln Lewis
nah im over it just patiently waiting til mu dogs dies, i cant leave her, i cant do that to her, the day she dies i hack my arm open and let my heart do the rest , sweet sweet death once and for all , im so done user
Julian Fisher
Lmao dumbass hacking your arm open won't kill you, you'll just slowly die from infection over the next week or two. Your body should naturally clot it before you just die.
What a retarded way to suicide, just buy a shotgun Jesus christ
Xavier Diaz
bullshit, if you hit the right vein you will bleed out , nigger
Noah Davis
Maybe ur bitchass veins will fucking nigger
Xavier Kelly

Landon Ortiz

William Lopez

Jose Flores
U wanna fucking go rn m8 I will fuck u up
I'll have u know I fuck plenty of bitches, and your only friend just got added to my list
Sounds like a spider has laid eggs Inside your lungs and they’ve become addicted to nicotine.
Owen Garcia
If you're too weak to quit then maybe you have enough willpower to just not inhale. It's a bitch for a week or so and then it just kind of let's it's grip go. It's been a year and I've gone from a peak of 3 packs a day down to.... I think I've only had 3 cigs today in total. And my lungs are fucking grateful. They used to hurt too, most of the day except after first waking up.
