Just got a regular bike after almost 2 decades. More fun than I remembered it was! Close feeling to getting your drivers license, when you just go out and take a drive for the sake it.

i hate driving

do you go camping with that thing?

Yep! I have a set of big panniers for the rear.

I used to have a 1990 Bridgestone MB-5 but the frame finally gave in. In used it to ride in the Pali mountains of Oahu.

What's up with everyones picture being non drive side out?

Non drive = show side

Because not everyone is a Fred elitist cyclist such as yourself

I just rebuild it from scratch basically, rewelded some parts, removed the gears and adjusted it to single speed/free wheel, installed some more modern cranks and painted again in mate black, and put some more decent saddle than the one in pic

I just started to get back into bmx riding and 20 min in I ripped my tire tube. Fuckin waiting on the cash for a new one

Since it's winter where I'm at it's the perfect time to put out the ol'bmx, since the streets are basically empty here.

Looks clean but I would go for some upgraded pedals. Best investment ever. Otherwise, that’s a good looking machine.

What’s with the single aero wheel in back?

Yeah. I did upgraded the pedals, brakes and the saddle later that year, unfortunately I have no recent pictures

Ah alright. I’ll never understand the people who will buy a $400+ bike and slog along on the cheap vinyl pedals that come with it. Not even from an aesthetic standpoint, those things are garbage and you can’t get any grip on them.

It's just becoming summer and I live in a big city so the streets are crowded

Free wheel, threw it on for fun
