Getting ass blasted by someone who just installed the game despite having superior positioning, aim or just more experience. Or on the flip side, trying to learn a game is hard when the guy who’s going 30-0 is gonna have a crit chance almost every other shot so you die instantly through no fault of your own. IMO it just isn’t fun

Haven't played in years. Got it with the Orange Box. Were random crits a thing back then? Cause if so, I didn't mind them or even pay attention to them. But then again, I only ever played the heavy.

in casual play i don't mind when i die to a random crit, and it's fun to smack someone with a crit. Also i love melee weapons, they make the game unique and having them as an actual viable strategy due to random crits is great.

It might be possible to play comp in NA but not Europe, the game already has tight af movement and shooting which just gets watered down by having the chance to just insta kill someone, getting a crocket, at least to me, isn’t funny or epic it feels undeserved. Dying to one too just isn’t fun either, you learn nothing from that death

True but they're not working on their own comp so your best bet to get away from random crits is external comp leagues.

It’s always nice to feel like you’re getting better at a game and learning from deaths is key, bum rushed the medic combo I’ll not do that next time, revving minigun down a sniper sight line maybe I shouldn’t. Also getting high just turns me trash at video games
