As it is true that guns don't kill people, but what people with guns do decide who is about to die, it's true as well that few drugs have the same amounts of different effects on a random person, and knowledge about what you can tolerate and what not can be vital in this case.

What makes alcohol special, in the most negative way, is that a very scarce amount of drug abusers ever decide to randomly walk the streets exposing themselves and those who cross their path to the effects of the substance. It's easy to take a stroll in the park and meet an alcoholic in an alcohol binge. It's not usual for most people to meet two guys who did heroin and to find them at the local bar like it's a normal fact.

What OP is wrong about is that alcohol is legal because everybody is already an alcoholic. I beg to differ, and sometimes - and with extreme moderation and knowledge - I prefear doing drugs. This does not mean I don't drink. This only means I pref drugs to drinking. It makes me vomit 25% of the times, it makes me stupid and it makes people raise their voice and the tone they use to speak, which is something I don't like in others and myself as well. I pref social drugs when I am with friends, such weed and sometimes coke.
