It used to be pretty standard practice to put the calibra 2.0 turbo in. Easy 300bhp with light mods, a lot of power for its weight/80s chassis.

There's a theory that says the best way to make driving save is to put a big fucking spike in the centre of the steering wheel. People will concentrate then and drive safe, no need for airbags/abs etc, which ironically makes drivers take more risks.

Have you driven one? The driving position, heavy steering and cluch will fuck you on long journeys. Nice cars though, was lucky enough to work for a Porsche specialist for a while.
