I need help. A week ago something happend to both my feet. I was walking and my feet stopped to work, i could not move them up, moving them sideways worked as always. They where like that for a day and then returned to normal. A day later both my feet and legs got extremely swollen, can hardly fit my feet in my shoes. I don't think its heart or kidney failure so I don't want to visit a doctor.

Does someone know a way to get rid of the extra fluids in my feet? Or am I simply dying?

Not me on the pic btw, but look the same.

Since you are OP, my guess is that you got the gay

Medfag here, you need lasix. Go to the hospital. Its pedal edema. Most likely fluid overload which is usually associated with CHF

looks like edema, only way you can get sorted is to visit the doctors.

you dont prescribe lasix straight away, you look for the mechanism that causes the edema.

I don't have any of the other symptomes for it tho. I will seek medical help if shit aint getting better in a week or two tho!

go to the doctors now u retard, theres many conditions that are associated with swelling in the feet

Just tough it out you pussy

I don't think it's any of the worst conditions tho. I'm not tired, I eat and drink normal, i do not get out of breath easily, I do not feel sick. The only thing wrong I can tell is that my damn feet and lower legs are swollen. I don't think they increase in size either.

You won't "feel" heart disease or kidney disease until its too late. Your body is very good at compensating for dysfunction so you may not notice it.

Getting swelling in your feet now means things may have progressed to the point where your body is losing its ability to compensate. Go see a doctor.

You think this could be caused by a sedentary lifestyle?

Ok, i'll contact them tomorrow as it takes around a week to get time anyway. Kinda sure they send me away with some kind of medication tho and not letting me see a real doctor. Health care in my country rocks!

renal failure. go to hospital nigger.

If we dont get you to go to the Hospital then there is two bits of info needed. Is it inflamed and red? and Is it firm or squishy. If its inflamed and red it is underlying with the joints themselves and the reason you need to go to the Hospital is because you are risking locking of the joints permanently. If it is not super inflamed and is squishy then you need to go to the hospital when it creeps above halfway up the shin or starts openly weeping fluid out of the skin. That you need to go to the Hospital for because it is an underlying issue that will not get better. There is also the real risk that the blisters will get infected and you can lose the legs. Until then you need to elevate them above your heart. Lay flat on a bed or couch and put your legs up as high as you can. If possible I suggest putting the legs on a pillow on the arm of a couch and laying with your back and shoulders on the level of the couch.

No, they are not inflamed. And semi squishy I would say. My feet are soft, and legs are more like clay. If i press my finger on my lower leg the it takes some minutes for it to go back to "normal", and leaves a crater

someone answer this pls

Yes, after I got this shit i did some googeling, and yes sitting still alot could cause this. I make sure i'm doing some exercise every 30min now, in hopes this shit goes away.

Could be I can't say. It is a risk factor for diabetes/chronic kidney disease and heart disease

And good job on going to contact someone qualified to help you where are you from?

Yeah, would not post about it if i wasn't a bit worried. I'm from Sweden!

Then it is because of fluid retention and take as long as you can on the couch with your legs closer to the ceiling than your heart. It will not fix the cause of why your legs started holding onto water but it will start getting it out of your legs. Luckily this is free and will slow down the downsides of the fluid on your legs. Cut all sodium from your diet and if you have them compression socks (TED hose) or ace bandages but dont leave them on for more than sixteen hours at a time. Compression, Sodium management, and elevation should help manage the symptoms and have a chance of addressing the underlying problem if the underlying problem is high blood pressure. I wish you could find your blood pressure. In the meantime what is your pulse.

> be amerifat
> shit happens to my body
> better not visit doctor cuz no hwalth insurance
> dies

this is how it feels to be free

This. Best advice so far

Go see a doctor you fucking retard

Thanks for the info. Will start to sleep with elevated legs until I can get this checked up. My pulse is 70 atm. I don't have any compression socks or similair. I could tie them up with something but did read it could make it worse if it was to tight. And not doing anything at all if it was too loose. Blood pressure will probably be checked when i check this shit up!

I am a CNA in an assisted living facility and have to deal with stubborn old people every night so I am used to having to deal with Edema and people not wanting to go to the Hospital. Also knowing that even with diuretics then it only does so much. Compression and Elevation get the fluid off the legs. Diuretics dont really get the fluid off it just gets the fluid out. Diet helps with that as well. and guarantee that the doctor would tell you to do those three anyway and very well would tell you need to try them first before they will give medication for it. If they determine its from high blood pressure they might give you medication for that. Though alot of the time diuretics are used as a first step in that too. And though they are not sexy compression socks will help with all of the people asking about the sedentary lifestyle as well.

You are right that too tight is bad thats why if you can get them compression socks are the best bet because they wont be too tight. Ace bandages are acceptable but if you start going numb or turning blue then its too tight. You dont necessarily need medical grade socks and if you are in America then your local Walmart or pharmacy will have them and usually in a variety of colors and styles. In most European countries you should be able to get them at your Chemists but I dont know if they would be at your local equivalent of Walmart or Target.

here we see a typical Amerifag. probably loves their healthcare system where if you don't have insurance you are fucked. but won't go see Doctor probably because can't afford it (even with insurance) UK fags would be straight to doctor, get seen for free, pay less than £10 for meds and be on road to recovery already. Free healthcare for the win
