I was in the Marines so I'm not completely sure how the army works but for us you had to have a bachelor's in anything really and then talk to a recruiter about ocs and all that if you are accepted you go to Quantico and do ocs which has a high drop rate. Then even if you pass everything you can still be not selected for comission. As far as I know ROTC is useless and doesn't do shit for officers. For enlisted you would get e2 coming in
