I'm 32 years old. Never had more than 2 nickels to rub together. I've always been broke as fuck.
My GF left me last June, after being together 7 years. She took my cat with her as well.
Things were dire to say the least. I have been living out of my car, eating nothing but protein bars and peanut butter from the local food bank.
I had been applying for jobs like a mad man.. It was pretty disheartening to apply for these shit jobs and never get a call back.
But 1 month ago, I finally got hired for a sales job with a good company. I won't say what company or what line of work it is, just cause I don't want anyone from work knowing I post here. But I've made 3 sales these past 2 weeks, and I've made over $14,000 off that...in 2 weeks!
I honestly don't even know what to spend the money on. I've never desired anything, because I've always been so poor. I am finally getting a decent apartment, some new clothes, and I'm stashing the rest of the money into my savings account.
A bit jealous, but honestly proud of you. Congrats!

Just spend what you need to get by comfortably (whatever that is for you). Grow a big savings account in case shit ever hits the fan so you're not broke as fuck again, and donate to some reputable charities and/or local churches to help other out of the situation you were in (check their history for sketchy practices, fraud, and what percentage actually helps people rather than pays bills and employees).

Yeah, I ain't gonna life, it was pathetic. I was an absolute loser. I guess I had to hit rock bottom before I finally woke up. But I'm happy now. I guess things worked out how they should.
It's home improvement sales. Average deal is worth over 30k and I make 12% commission. I've been doing well at it. My boss saw that I was determined and extremely motivated, so that's why he hired me.
Sales jobs pay a shit ton of money. Not sure why these kids think this is some kinda fantasy story.
