Friend of mine visited China and the actual location. His Chinese work colleague (under 30 years old), acting as translator and guide said that he can't understand why this area is supposedly famous since only a few protesting students got a rib or two broken a lifetime ago and nothing else happened.

this was used successfully to get around chinese censorship but the government figured it out and banned searches on big yellow duck.
