Ask an Amazon warehouse employee anything. My last week here
why did you quit?
The rain forest in the Amazon as amazing as people say?
I'm seasonal and I'm moving. It was a short term job
No, well not anymore
>need a background check and drug test to work a crappy graveyard shift menial labour job
The absolute state of the USA.
Paying for shipping is a scam right?
I usually get free sent to me 2-3 days sometimes even less since I live a block less than 10 miles from two warehouses.
The only thing that comes late more than 7 days are game pre orders I get on discount why is that?
That's a shame. I guess we should stop them cutting down all the trees. The Amazon is a national treasure.
No
>Paying for shipping is a scam right?
Why would it be? It's still a service
Less than a month?
How was your experience?
I manage their logistics in a sort facility. Ha. You fucking pleb OP.
About six weeks total, pretty decent. No troubles using the bathroom
Kek, you're a warehouse worker 4life
Enlighten me why there would be troubles taking a piss?
In the Amazon? Go behind any tree. didn't know they had internet in the Amazon.
There was a report last year(?) That Amazon warehouse employees weren't allowed to use the bathrooms while working and they wore diapers
I have an office, salary and benefits and a warehouse floor that works under me. Two more years I'll get vested and have stock in the company. Not a bad gig for a warehouse worker. Better than some seasonal temp kek
I'll be finishing up my actuarial science degree in a year, don't cry for me bro
Haha, people actually put up with that sort of abuse?
I could legitimately spend 2 hours in the shitter before anyone actually gave a fuck
I almost always get it in 1 to 2 days no matter what free or pay tier if I order during business hours, and I'm 80 miles from the nearest warehouse.
I guess Amazon pays better than most. I make $16.50 starting, basically picking products, with 2 breaks a lunch in a 10 hr shift, and OT is readily available. The requirements they have though is pretty fucking high. I think it's 400 products picked per hr. My highest is like 320
Im about to start selling things on Amazon and I wonder what its like for my product to go the the FBA centers shelf to the customer. How much of it is automated and how much do you have to do between picking and shipping?
Kek, I always laugh at all those managers who try to act all high and mighty. MOTHERFUCKER, THIS AINT MY CAREER
Again, those are terrible work conditions. I'm not sure the state of your expectations, but that is legit slave labor
What I learn from working there is that whatever hobby you have, it's almost guaranteed to have products that you can sell.
And dildos. Tons of dildos
Is it better than say a fast food worker making $7/hr? Or s waiter dependent on tips?
Yeah sure.
But you're comparing dog shit to cow shit
>Im about to start selling things on Amazon
Not Likely.
It's not bad for a temp job and it seems alot of people there see this t as such.
Yeah, fair enough. Just don't watch yorself turn it into a career
Nope
2 late fag. I'm already in
