yeah Ive seen quite a few of those.. often in china & they hit overhead powerlines with scaffolds and the like but you never get to see any after effects or injuries jsut them getting hung up. would the burn occur at the contact point or where u are making contact with ground?

not an elec-chicken so I'm not too familiar with the exact ins and outs of it but I was told by a surgeon it's pretty much always the contact point because that's where electricity experiences resistance which is what causes heat, and lots of it.

makes sense ive seen people with burns from AC and its usually at the contact point with higher voltages. the heat is produced not from resistance however but actually from the large amount of current that can pass into the body due to the high voltage. DC however im not too familiar with and it does behave somewhat differently in that since the voltage doesnt vary at all you get hung up and have no chance to pull yourself off which would explain a cooked bicep like op I guess.

DC, at least in my experience, has more of an entry/exit wound, depending on where the pos/neg are. As AC basically changes the burn victim from positive to negative at roughly 60Hz, the points of contact are similarly focaccia'd. That said, the feet can get incredibly mangled if the voltage is high enough to work through resistant shoes.
