Can I just park it on some street and never have to worry about homelessness ever again or will this corrupt system run by sociopaths not allow me do that?
If you think about it, you would only have to work like 10-20hrs a week if you didn't have to pay for rent. You'd only have to have 200-300 a month for food and nothing else. Basically retirement right there.
I could use public restrooms (taking a shit could suck, and I could go to the gym for that plus a shower).
So, that 200-300 would be a bit more, but overall, cheap as shit. This would be the ultimate chill life.
I don't. Waste of money unless you want a family but that shit would overcomplicate my life. Fuck those desires.
Lincoln Bennett
Actually, you can pretty much do that, but it depends on the city you live in and how much they hassle people who do this. You will, technically, be homeless in that you will not have a fixed address. But in my city, the cops won't hassle you unless you are parked on private property and the owners complain. There are guys who live in campers and vans who park on local shopping center parking lots and no one complains because they are sympathetic and the van-dwellers don't cause problems. Clean up after yourself, don't raise hell on their property, if the police show up to check you out be friendly and cooperative and don't get caught breaking any laws, and move your vehicle. It's pretty easy to spot other vehicle dwellers and you can share tips with them. Good luck.
Juan Morris
You may need a P.O. Box someplace to receive mail. Not sure whether you need to use a fixed mailing address other than that.
Liam Jenkins
Employers always ask for a fixed address for some weird as shit reason.
Jeremiah Fisher
Google “slab city”. Won’t be the easy living you’re fantasying about but it’s doable.
Bentley Clark
Look up "stealth RV" for some ideas
Isaac Perry
You could also shower at truck stops like Flying J (national chain in the US, anyway), could park at interstate rest areas, could visit KOA campgrounds for reasonable rates to actually DO something for a weekend.
Ayden Baker
You're a retard. I'm a foreigner waiting for my green card. I never want to return to my country homeless on top of that. A real state asset is right up there with not having debt. How many years you got left to live? How old are you? When you're cucked by your retirement check you won't have nurses and caregivers likely to be black or Asian beating your ass.
Jayden Hernandez
Can't you just buy a small plot of land a few miles outside of town and go full redneck? If you want to live cheap you shouldn't be in the city anyway.
I’m a 30 yo guy here did this for 3 years. It’s totally possible! Do it! It works better if your a single guy cause girls can only hack it for so long on average. I had a caravan but an RV would be an awesome option and you can park rent free. Get solar power. AMA
Camden Lewis
You're a dumbass. >dur hur be grateful to be a wagecuck
What a pathetic piece of shit you are. Suck a dick, down syndrome fucker.
Nathaniel White
Legit.
How many hours do you work a week to sustain yourself? How many days a week?
Christopher Richardson
Also, half your rambling was 100% incoherent.
>When you're cucked by your retirement check you won't have nurses and caregivers likely to be black or Asian beating your ass. I can't even make sense of this fuckery
John Lopez
I have an online business so I work whenever.
Julian Ross
My dream and goal in life is to own an RV so I can live in it. I want to travel, fuck being in one place all the time. My problem is saving up the fuckton of money needed to buy said RV... they're expensive as fuck.
Elijah Wood
I'm in the middle of doing this right now, in the UK though.
John Taylor
You get a van a deck it out yourself. Winnabagos are for boomers
Joseph Gomez
Keep warm mate. If I was you I would RV across Europe. Into Eastern Europe for the hot puss. I’m aussie tho so I just cruise to Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. Easy
David Sanders
>I'm a camwhore showing off my boipussy to buy gas
Hudson Fisher
Fuck off you gyppo.
Joshua Miller
What high aspirations you have. Go section 8 + food stamps + gov healthcare. It costs basically nothing and it will give you all the things that people that work have.
Joseph White
That's awesome. I was about to start amazon fba soon. Hopefully it works out.
Josiah Ortiz
I suppose a van would be the way to go. A LOT cheaper. I've just been watching guys on YouTube like 'Eric Jacobs' (Nomadic Fanatic) and 'Mike O'connor' (Living Free). They do the EXACT lifestyle I want. Living it up in an RV. They get paid from YouTube making videos and living off that income on the road. I could die a happy man if I could find a way to pull that off.
Adam Turner
Another example of why we shouldn't let browns migrate here.
Matthew Gray
You know what.. fuck the rv. A van would be better. I could just remove the seats and make a sweet home there. Have time for the gym and don't have to be someone's bitch as often.
Ryan Gomez
So being a hobo is cool now, they are taking this hipster shit to another level.
Joshua Roberts
You can make it work. Make it like a home for yourself. I had a caravan with a shower, toilet, TV, small couch (a good couch is really important invest in a good seating area), fridge, cooking spot, aircon. The downside is that free camping with a caravan in Aus is hard. Much better with an RV or van.
Jacob Hernandez
Far from that. Working full time, saving loads and travelling anywhere I want. I'm happier than you, faggit.
Nathaniel Bell
Once you taste real freedom, it will change you forever. Do it
Benjamin Cooper
I dunno man. A lot of haters shit on both Eric and Mike. They have a lot of haters saying "loser" or "bum" or "hobo"... but really? I think it's fucking genius! They get people to watch their videos and they get paid for it and essentially get to travel the USA for FREE because of it. I wish I could pull that off.
Angel Gomez
assuming you are not sociopath when you want to live like this
Ryder Sullivan
The way to not feel like a bum is to make sure your building something for yourself while you do it, like save extra money and invest in some stocks or whatever and grow your cash flow. Then when you stop banning you have something you have built. Or don’t stop and you will have more resources
Jason Gomez
>uses the word sociopath wrong Oh, user..
Luis Harris
If I could have one of these and live in it til I die? I'd be happy. I just last the 120K pricetag to buy one. :( I hate being poor.
And yes, I know I said 120K (because that's what they cost now in 2019. This is an old picture).
Adrian Thompson
When you're this fucking stupid and mentally ill you create a situation for yourself where you're half homeless and enjoy paying gym membership for a shower.
Luis Clark
THese are seriously impractical. They can’t be stealth parked anywhere. And they cost the fucking earth. Much better value if you want this type of this to get a caravan.
Jordan Walker
You have to be constantly on the move. Using regular public spots gets you noticed and gets you chased.
I live in a house made of stone. Own it without a mortgage. Work from home an average of 2 to 3 hours a day to earn enough to pay bills and can afford to travel as and when I want. Gyppo.
Jacob Watson
>corrupt system run by sociopaths
Homeowners just don't like it when freeloaders dump their sewage in the streets.
The sociopath is the one who thinks this is acceptable.
I've never cared much for stealth. I realize if you're going for stealth those RV's are seriously stupid. But for me? It's more about comfort. I could live comfortably in one of those for the rest of my days. I just lack the income to buy one... that's why I'm not living in one right now. Lack of money is literally the ONLY thing holding me back.
Matthew Hughes
Listen Get a fucking job Save money Stop being a dick to your parents I know you still live with them Spend a couple months couch surfing You'll realize it sucks Get an apartment like everyone else
Hunter Bennett
Do you have to be high to read it?
Lucas Anderson
1. I have a job. 2. Saving money is hard when paying bills. 3. My parents are dead. 4. I live with my girlfriend.
So your logic is flawed. If you knew anything about real life you would understand that trying to save up 120K is next to fucking impossible when you have every life expenses, bills, etc.
My dream since I was a little boy was to own an RV and be able to travel. This may not be your dream so you may not see the value in it at all, but some of us want more out of life than renting an apartment and working a regular 9 to 5 every day til you die.....
Owen Martin
"earn enough to pay bills" exactly, you have no money because you spent it on a house. That's not an achievement.
Michael Nelson
You do realize people will call the police if you park a massive rv on their street for extended periods of time right? The only thing holding your back isn't money. It's an understanding of the real world. Get a couple more years out of high school before you start making any long term decisions champ. You've got a better chance of fucking Marilyn Monroes ghost than your do saving 120k for an rv. Think realistically. Maybe get a shitty van and spend the summer shitting and bathing in gas stations bathrooms then you'll realize homeless people aren't "free" their just homeless
Grayson Rivera
>i live with my girlfriend Ah so you're a mooch. Got it. Im sure you'll save 120k up in no time. Keep flipping those burgers bitch
Alexander Jackson
With goals that low, theres no reason you can.
Lmao nah.
Why not have a house a new car and plenty of money?
Laughs at you in stem field.
Owen Long
What makes you think one of those shit boxes would last the rest of your life? They have engines you know that dealers stop making parts for.
Oliver Price
I see the points you're trying to make. Thing is? I'm 40 years old man. I've done the 9 to 5, I've done the apartments, and living like a "normal person". It bores the fuck out of me. I crave adventure. I'm tired of being stuck in the same place all the damn time. As for highschool? lol... been out of that shit for a REALLY long time. I'm the class of 97' bud. I will say you're right, I probably do have a better chance fucking the ghost of Marilyn Monroe before saving 120K for an RV. It's damn near impossible which is why I'm not out living that life as we speak. And yes.. living in an van having to shower in public places would suck, but living in an RV? You have a shower in it, so you don't need to shower in public places. It's basically a home on wheels. I just wish I could make that life happen. I hate how everything is so expensive in life.
Isaiah Davis
Quite right. I'll keep going until I own an electricity company, gas company, water company, telephone and broadband company, supermarket and the council. Once I own all of these I can then supply my house with their services without having to pay some other robbing fuckers to do it for me.
Asher Wilson
Get a caravan then. Way cheaper than an RV with all the extras.
Justin Kelly
You're so angry. You should see a therapist. I hear they help with that sort of thing. Goals that low? Since when is owning a 120 thousand dollar rv a low goal? I know they break down, but that's life no matter where you live or what you live in. Shit breaks down, even WE do.. life is temporary... same as anything else.
You're so angry over how I choose to live My life. Oh dear...
Xavier Gray
>choose kek
Christopher Allen
Ok. But you don't have 120k. So wether or not an rv is better than a van is a moot point because you can't afford one. Also you hate how expensive everything is? What are your a fucking moron? You just praised the Rv for being amazing. Why would it be cheap if it was as great as you claim.
It sounds like you're going through a midlife crisis. Get a fucking dog, have some kids, grimy get a hobby, volunteer. If you don't want to do any of those things go fuck yourself cuz 120k is all but an impossible goal for you to attain. So dreaming about it isn't going to change anything
Luis Peterson
Oh I forgot to say, I'm at home currently, you see, I own that too. I'm still converting my brand new van for travelling.
Ryan Hughes
May I suck your cock?
Kevin Bell
No one's angry here bud. We're just trying to explain to you that you're being delusional. Try setting more realistic goals for yourself. Like buying a shitty van and being that homeless guy who bathes in the shetz bathroom sink
Carter Lopez
>being this much of a beta NPC cock
Austin Morgan
No, the sociopaths are the ones that don't make affordable housing. Fact
Nicholas Scott
Dude, you genuinely have down syndrome.
Josiah Jones
>just give up and be a loser like me!
Adam Morris
Seething this hard lmao
Not everyone wants to be a slave like you
Justin Anderson
A car is the only type of home that goes down in value lmao
Jayden Thompson
If you had a job as a long haul trucker, you could get paid well to drive around in your house, and enjoy all the support for that lifestyle built into the system.
Noah Gutierrez
While feasible what happens if you get sick? How will you afford to pay for doctor visits? Disposal of your wastes,
Lastly people who have set roots in a neighborhood don't want some lazy ass vagrant in an RV dropping anchor in their neighborhood.
Parker Wright
then just give them a random address. who gives a fuck lol
Jacob Campbell
yeah, pays like 50k and sounds like what he wants to do (unless the self driving robots take over)
Showers? Electricity? Internet? Mobile home parks, or actual parks might be cheap some places, then you can hookup water/elec/waste.
Ryan Bailey
The Neil Breen lifestyle is too hard for you. Give up.
Luis Powell
>wants to live rent free and cut corners >wants to occupy land that isnt his >why is the world full of sociopaths that want to make me pay for things!!!!!111 Commieland is to the East, i think you missed your exit.
Jordan Fisher
>unless the self driving robots take over Big oil is dug in against that, so Amazon is investing in blimps and drones. I'm not kidding.
Jacob Anderson
Why not buy a house with like 10 other people?
Brody Green
>While feasible what happens if you get sick? How will you afford to pay for doctor visits? Meh. I'd rather have a short and easy life than a long and dreadful one. I almost never even go to the doctors either. >Disposal of your wastes Public restrooms. Maybe a gym so I can shower too.
>Lastly people who have set roots in a neighborhood don't want some lazy ass vagrant in an RV dropping anchor in their neighborhood. Don't care about them, but yes, finding a place where people will leave you the fuck alone is not easy
Jordan Cruz
I was considering that honestly. Not 100% sure on it.
Connor Diaz
It's a natural reaction. Has to do with being basically hairless apes reacting to a member of their species acting differently than the norms of their social group. Problem is, someone always has to go first to make any kind of progress. Am I saying van life is progress? No. I am not saying it isn't either. But every change starts off as someone just acting weird, as far as the majority is concerned. You have to admit, those guys are living their one, short life on their own terms instead of letting the herd guilt them into doing something they don't want to do.
Brody Jones
Dude buy a used smaller rv for like 10k a pull behind. Upgrade overtime if you can. I’m 40 this year too. I feel you bro but I’m locked down with fam life. I do have 120k (if I sold the house) but fam life in an rv wouldn’t fly for us
Jason Clark
You can't avoid bills user. If you want a camper/RV, you'll have to pay rent on property instead of a physical house.
Logan Cox
Call it a "social experiment" and try to get a grant to vlog about it.
Jayden Morris
That's just applying a label, not really making any kind of argument. You also miss the point of OP's use of the word. Corporations and many of the rich have really taken greed and exploitation of their employees to levels that many would call sociopathic. Also, the psychological profiles of career criminals and CEOs have a lot of similarities, like the ability to be ruthless.
Caleb Campbell
The only smart way to do what OP is proposing honestly.
Seriously you wanna live on the road in a vehicle cabin, frequent gas station restrooms and shit? Literally just become a trucker. Might as well get paid for it... most guys make at least 50k/year.
PS: guy who wants to live in an RV who currently has a gf. No woman on earth will follow you around in an RV. You wanna do it? fine - but expect to be forever alone. The cost of a place to live and shit is just another toll in the long line of tolls we pay for pussy so get used to it.
Parker Gonzalez
I see guys living in these around Austin, Texas. No one hassles them.
Daniel Lee
>gets bronchitis >dies at 30 because he cant go to a doctor
nice easy life brah
Robert Collins
Not OP but I've tried doing that autistic livestream/vlog shit on a cell phone. It takes a ridiculous amount of data and a brand new phone if you want to stream in at least 720p. It's fucking expensive.
Verizon sent me a letter explaining to me that "unlimited data doesn't actually mean unlimited" and if I do it again, they'll bill me a lot more. AT&T wouldn't even sign me when I told them I wanted to livestream. I don't know how people do it.
Chase Edwards
Not if you can pull off parking on some street.
See.. this is the fucking problem with this country. You want to be a minimalist? This country won't let you.
Well anyways, what triggered these thoughts was seeing a whole street of people in rvs and I wad just thinking to myself "shit, they don't even have to pay rent".
Fuck rent. It's retarded needing to pay so much just to have a damn roof over you head.
Jayden Scott
This was addressed in one of the first replies to OP. Other people are doing it without being hassled.
Noah Parker
If you're in the U.S. shut up faggot. There's a billion acres of public land you can camp on for free any time. You're just too brain washed by real estate jews to think anyone without a mortgage is beneath you.
>Trucker I did that for a while, not a bad job desu. Theres no "free roamin' " and its long hours, but decent pay. If you're worried about parking download an app called trucker path for all of the places that accept trucks and rvs. Plus rest areas and maybe Walmart, ymmv.
>Motorcoach Those are good and fine, but dont by one new, theyre over inflated because of boomer retirees. But a used one can be bought for 5-10k hardly used since people that buy them new usually only use them a few times a year.
Its not bad to be ever moving, in fact i get itchy feet after a few days now, but dont try and quasi retire with nothing to do, either maintain a job or get some productive hobbies, preferably both, otherwise you'll go stir crazy.
I'll probably do the same after I finish uni, Because theres nothing for work in that town, and fuck 6-800 dollars a month for an apartment youre never at. >Inb4 ur yung and rong Fuck you Ive done the normie shit for a decade before i went back to school.
Gavin Kelly
I know they won't. After a really shitty year, I decided to go camping in the woods for a couple of weeks away from everything. I was warned that if I was found camping without a permit again, I would be fined $300 or something fucking stupid. The only way to live rent free is to be a bum on Skid Row or some shit in this country.
Mason Lewis
Except he's not being delusional. He just doesn't have the same goals as the mainstream, which you are defending because you lack the empathy to see his point of view, or the imagination to think about doing it yourself. I am not saying everyone should do what OP is doing. I am saying that people are free to choose, within the practical limitations. OP is trying to find a limitation that is more in line with his values. How he spends a half century or so of the only life he has is up to him.
Angel Flores
When I was younger my parents always wanted to travel in a RV. Every campground we went to had a weekly price. I don't think we ever stayed anywhere for free. You can't get away from bills unless you're dead.
Andrew Bailey
Probably the only one in this thread who's spent time in an RV considering this poster is the only one to mention the hookups, which aren't free in most cases.
Also I would like to point out that besides the initial cost there's the mantainence. As long as it looks good on the outside a house can fall into total disrepair if you hide the fact. If an RV breaks down on the side of the road you have to get it repaired, otherwise if you get towed to a lot your "rent" is going to be $100+ a day.
Jose Jackson
I think a van like this is the best, most practical idea.
Stealthy, will require some fabrication skills but can be home and simple. All you need is a bed, a fridge and a battery to charge your phone. Solar panels are a nice touch. You could heat up water and just shower outside at a spot you know is private. It helps to live somewhere where it is warm year round.
At least that is what I would do. Probably would only cost about 20-25k total. Your only bills would be gas, the insurance and registration fees on the vehicle plus some routine maintenance, phone, food for yourself and the rest for entertainment. Be a good, honest person, stay out of trouble and hopefully nobody tries to steal or fuck with you. Keep a gun.
Other than that, it's a decent option in life compared to being homeless.
