While 7-HMG might be the main opioid-like substance in kratom that causes euphoria and addiction, it is likely not the only one. Not only is kratom addictive and can lead to its own set of withdrawal symptoms, but kratom is also known to cause several severe side effects.

Kratom withdrawals are mild. Even using 10+ grams for over a year will be relatively easy to get off of if you have any experience of coming off of alcohol/benzos/cocaine/opioids.

I did for a couple years. Love the stuff. Works amazing on joint pain from Lifting. I only stopped because it fucks with my erections, makes it hard to reach climax, and costs more then I'd like to spend. My gf still takes 5 or so grams every night. I was taking 8 grams a night give or take.

Why not pot and weed? I fucking hate pot users that use nothing but pot, it annoys the fuck outta me, like there are other drugs out there you know?

Pot isnt anything like kratom. Pot doesnt relax me anyway. Makes me uptight even if I attempt to just relax. It also gives me anxiety. Kratom actually relaxes me and, I feel great mentally.

I know for a fact kratom has zero withdrawal effects. I took 8 grams every single night for 2 years. Didnt miss a single night. Then I just stopped taking it cold Turkey. Didnt have any withdrawal at all. Caffeine gives more withdrawal then kratom does.

I have a hard time coming off of vaping, okay, so I'll just stick with pot. Bongs are the best.

Tell me why it annoys you that pot purist exist. There's a reason why it's gotten legalized and decriminalized. It's safe, it's healthy, and it's harmless, compared to alcohol and/or tobacco.

Probably, I mean even shrooms can be used in therapeutic ways. Just taking steroids doesn't make you stronger either. How you take them and with mood sensitive drugs like pot it can change based on your mental state.

Pot is not a sedative, but it works like a sedative without the drowsiness. I honestly think MDMA is the best, but I know with my depression and anxiety that regular daily use of a small amount of pot can be beneficial.

Ripping a bong while drinking after a long day in the sun at the beach doesn't always go over the best either, but I can say it wouldn't kill you.

Because pot isn't a solution to everything. Benzos are more reliable for anxiety than weed, kratom is better for pain than weed. Weed is great recreationally but isn't very useful for ailments or mental conditions.

um, what was your dose, and how many strains did you try? Kratom has been shown to very effective for pain and does cause a mild opioid high.

I am for my chronic abdominal pain. It works pretty well. Not as well as opiates but pretty damn well. It's definitely addictive physically and mentally though. I take around 8 grams a day.

Studies have shown that cannabis sustains anti anxiety effects and may work in similar ways to some prescribed drugs. On the other hand, benzodiazepines have a long list of negative side effects that make them a less beneficial option for the body.

I've never heard of kratom before, but cannabis grows anywhere. It seems like Kratom is a south asian plant.

kratom is great, been taking it for years. Cured my depression and helps with chronic pain. I take very little, only a half gram of green kratom up to three times a day.

Because it tastes like shit (Capsules are way more expensive than powder), the high was like a mild opiate that made me way too sleepy for the amount of euphoria, it's not regulated well and they keep finding heavy metals in it, it just wasn't worth it. I tried like 6 different strains but, like weed, I didn't notice much of a difference between them in terms of effectiveness

not everyone is a pot head. Weed is fun when you're 15, but some of us grownups have work to do.

It gives me bad nausea, but I still use it from time to time. Usually have to take a gravol or ginger if I'm taking more than 2g at a time.

Not really. Unless you take autistically large doses. It's about as safe as coffee. (coffee will also fuck you up if you take huge doses)

In fact I'm a big coffee drinker and I get more side effects from coffee than I do from kratom.
