Bachelor of psychology. Can't practice it, but it's helped me get a few jobs here and there (mainly retail or sales, which is not my biggest strength), but I still haven't found a 'career' job.

I could possibly go back and do PhD (Hon.) but it's very competitive. I envy anyone who was confident on their career from a young age.

I was in dispatch stacking pallets and driving forklifts.
I saved up as much money as I could for a year, didn't have a car didn't have anything.
Paid for a Diploma in IT then did a advanced diploma in Networking.
Applied for jobs HARD af like imagine a 9-5 of job hunting.
Finally got a start and then left for a higher position and more money.

Thanks for replying OP. I'm incredibly naive to your career, what is it you actually do? I've always been good with computers (to a degree, lol) and haven't really considered IT work.
Also worked as a forklift driver and it was sooooo shitty, worked almost 11 hours every day with no future.
Said fuck you to my boss and started a traineeship and tripled my yearly salary.
Make more money than my managers of the forklift job lol.
I fucking hate them.
What do you do now?
I work as a Site Engineer for a big shipping company in the netherlands.
My job is to ensure the sorting machine that sorts all the post packages keeps running.
On my shift i'm the only technical person in the building with over 100 people working with the machine.
It's a relaxed job if it works because i don't have a supervisor on site and basicly am my own boss, have a own office and eveything.
Can watch youtube videos for a 150% pay during the nightshift for 8 hours lol

Well to put it simply, it's mainly troubleshooting any problems that our clients have, since you start at the bottom anyways you learn everything as time progresses.
It's the fucking worst lol yeah my manager was a asshole to me everyday
Damn I'm fucking jealous. Nice work! How did you get to that career?
