It isnt that great unless you travel a whole lot. My job requires a lot of travel which is why I got it. Hoping the benefits offset the annual fee.

I believe you get $250 in travel vouchers every year. I've also qualified for the extra points which is another couple hundred dollars in value.

Lounge access is great though. Free food and liquor.

My company doesn't take Amex or Discover because the fees are fucking insane. I probably say "We don't take Amex or Disover" at least a couple times a week and everyone that has one of those cards has a Visa right next to it cause it obviously happens all the fucking time.

I use Amex as my primary card and I can count the number of times I've had to use my Visa instead on one hand.

Exactly. The VISA I use for everything is $0 a year, gives me 1-3% cash back, has free purchase protection/roadside assistance/cash advance/no interest if paid in full/etc etc. You have to be a literal nigger retard to pay a $700 monthly fee for absolutely nothing other than less usability.

Why do you have a fucking AMEX if you already have a VISA? What is the point of paying an annual fee for something that penalizes you for carrying a balance even MORE so than VISA and is usable in fewer places, hence requiring that you keep your other card as a backup?

I have an Amex because the rewards are better, and the card that I have has no annual fee. I've never had a credit card balance in my life and like I already said, I can count the number of times I've actually had to pull out the Visa instead on one hand (I've had the Amex for 5+ years).
