Hey Yea Forumsros, I've got a question for you. If I sell my coworker pure caffeine and she ODs on it, would I be liable? I'm thinking that since caffeine is both legal and unregulated I'd be ok, but I don't really know.
inb4 OP is a fag for asking Yea Forums a real question
If you're selling it to her AS pure caffeine, you'd potentially be okay.
If you're pretending to sell her cocaine/meth/whatever, the laws usually don't distinguish between "I was only pretending to be retarded" and legitimate drug dealing.
Matthew Foster
i doubt it just searched for caffeine and you can buy it in many places that's like saying just because you sold a gun to someone and they shot their hand off you're liable you wouldn't be as long as they're an adult you should be fine
Nicholas Peterson
It happens.
Cameron Taylor
It's okay, we've all erred, and from doing so, learned.
Eli Adams
No, she legit asked me for pure caffeine. The supplier I get it from has nothing on their site about reselling, and I'm going to give her the full MSDS with it.
Thats what I thought, but I wanted some other viewpoints. Thanks.
Man she is going to shit herself inside out if she uses that.
Justin Taylor
Eh. A lot of people put caffeine in their workout prep shakes and shit, so it's plausible you expected her to use it responsibly. You'd probably be in the clear if she chooses to OD even if it was traced back to you.
That arabic writing throws my boner off :| Do I want her to allah ahkbar or to swallow my seed.... hmmmm choices
Death to America!

You're retarded. You cant just re-sell something just because the company selling it to you doesnt clearly say "do no resale" And also, unless she specificly says she buys it from you and she dies nothing will happen. Are you a 12 year old? Its fucking cafeine.
William Morales
The lulzy thing is shes a white as hell thot from wisconsin
>You cant just re-sell something just because >the company selling it to you doesn't clearly >say "do no resale
Why the fuck not?

Appears to to be the Persian for Matthew (the apostle, does not apply to other people named Matt)
Evan Rodriguez
Because thats litteraly selling drugs. Do I really have to explain why you cant just buy sone fda approved drug and sell it yourself for a markup?
Dominic White
I don't read sandpeople, what does the tattoo say?

Ah, I should have been more patient and read the latter parts of the thread before posting...

If you sold her a large container of Folgers and she chose to brew every bit of it and consume it in one day she'd reach the LD-50. Are you liable for selling her coffee? How aboouuut.. Ibuprofen? She gave you a ten and you ran to the store for a bottle. She bought it from you, but she's gonna slam the bottle and try to die tonight. Maybe something else completely legal she could have bought herself if she wasn't a moron? Like.. Powdered caffeine? Or bleach? Or daily vitamins?
The real question is.. If you suspect she's intending on killing herself or that she's too stupid to not kill herself, why are you still here with us? Why aren't you doing something about it?
Caffeine might be classified as a dietary supplement in this case.
Ian Gomez
If she knows it's caffeine and she asked for caffeine then what ever happens is on her.
And where the fuck do you live? They sell caffeine pills at every liquor store and grocery store here. It's not illegal. Anybody can buy it.
Lucas Anderson
No its not, and even if it was, its still not legal to sell dietary suplements. You need liscences and permits. Nobody is gonna stop you selling it to her, and im 100% sure nothing will happen from you selling it to her. But saying "It doesnt say dont resale so that means I can!" Is a nigger-tier excuse.
Noah Flores
Actually, if you sell a gun to someone and the sale is illegal then you can be liable. I.e. you sell it to a child, a felon, a retard, etc...
Landon Brooks
If it comes back to you you'll get involuntarily manslaughter
Easton Wood
This here, if the sale is illegal, then you can be liable.
If the sale is legal you are not liable unless they can demonstrate some gross negligence. For example, here is pure caffeine, you need to take 1 tablespoon 5 times a day to lose weight.
