Numero Group's reissue a.couple years ago of Jimmy Carter and Dallas County Green's lone album from the 70's is pretty far from the kinda thing I usually listen to, but it's such an incredible, heartfelt record. One of my favorite of the last few years.

Captain Audio was a great Dallas band who "should been huge", but the band ditched the woman who actually formed it, moved to NY, and became The Secret Machines, who were almost famous for a.minute. At least Bowie apparently loved them.

For the most part for me, the new one just kinda feels soulless. That's probably because the original had so much passion and energy behind it, as well as the naivety of a relatively new artist (the numbered albums don't really count as albums tbh). It sounds better to me because it doesn't sound as good

May i reccomend some of Animal Collective's albums (listen to them as albums, not shuffled, trust me) Some of my favorite albums of theirs includes Strawberry jam, Sung tongs, Centipede Hz, and Merriweather Post Pavillion
