American latinas are different from immigrants. The former are usually annoying. They act a lot more like a stereotype and have a more fiery temper. The latter are pretty similar to any white American. If she's light skinned and you make the racial distinction between you and her because she's latina you'll just make her cringe. But overall pretty chill.
Also, consider that they're not all the same. Every country from Mexico to Colombia, Ecuador, etc. is pretty similar, but othet regions are not. Southern south america is like the closest to europe in latin America. The Caribbean feels like you just arrived to apartheid south africa. And brazil is really just its own thing.
I have one brazilian friend, dated one chilean and a bunch of colombians and mexicans. Brazilians are the least impressed by white guys, but being white already puts you at an advantage in the rest of the region. Well, at least until you have sex. I've had the most luck with colombians. I've met a handful and literally every single one of them told me they were attracted to me at some point. Statistically I've had less luck with mexicans, but I'm from California, so I've met way more of them.
Something I've noticed they really like is tall guys. It's less dramatic in newer generations but a lot of men in latin america are midgets. A half Venezuelan girl told me the average there for men is about 5 7. I'm 5 10 and every time I've been to a latin american people compliment how tall I am. So yeah, easy advantage.
And just for the record, hopefully you will know this already, but spanish girls aren't latinas and aren't impressed by white guys at all. I'm dating one right now and even though she's kinda tan and has some dark features, she could not care less about my race. She actually dated a mexican before me.
