For the people who draw out there, but is it easier to draw something that is "ugly" or scary as opposed to bring pretty or nice looking? It's going to determine my next drawing
It's easier to draw something cute if you let the anime take over. Even then, if you push anime to extremes, it can become ugly and creepy. However, I would say it's far easier to make something cute. As it requires way less lines. Creepy/ugly works usually require way more details depending on the subject.
I find with anything, its always better to challenge the viewer than to simply appease them. Anybody can make something happy and warm, but its the more terrifying and abstract things that really stick with people.
