Op here. I wage slaved from 16 to 22 building capital. I invested nearly every dollar in Microsoft. I didn't initially buy into a diversified stock portfolio because there's no way Microsoft was going anywhere but up. I pulled out most of it to start a Skateboarding company. Now all my investments I'm more spread out but for the most part in tech

Not OP, but also a bourgeosie. The best answer I can give you is that you need to network. Friends are how business gets done, and how power is exercised. For instance, a lot of the investments affordable to lesser nobility is overseas in places like India or China. India is more accessible since they speak english. India is corrupt, and China is double super corrupt. If you invest in an honest business in India, you lose. Period. You have to invest in a corrupt business, which means knowing the people who are going to benefit from that.
America has breathing room for honest small businesses, but all big businesses are fundamentally the same. If you aren't corrupt, you lose. This isn't somethign the large corporations want either, btw, it is literally just natural selection. The ones that failed to participate in lobbying, in regulatory capture, in breaking union wages, and in selling out and moving to China are the ones that went out of business.

16-22 you don't have access to anything but minimum wage jobs unless family member gave you an "in" to a job you would never get otherwise. What does paying taxes have to do with anything? And stocks aren't paying out double your investment as dividends. You make it seem as though your entire capital came from dividends when I bet you made some gains and your capital came from investment + dividend. You bypassed living expenses given to you by your parents. How many years past 22 did it take for you to generate enough income to move out? You come across like those articles about women entrepreneurs who brag about quitting their jobs to start a business while ignoring the convenient fact that their husband was still pulling 6 figures. Meanwhile backhanding your dad whose wage-slaving made it possible for you to do this.
If you came on /b to say opportunities are out there and to give hard concrete advice, that would be one thing.
