Liberals are still the overwhelming majority of STEM graduates and liberal arts grads still generally earn higher wages than those with just a high school diploma (most of whom, for what it's worth, don't get vocational training anyhow). It's really quite remarkable how many blue-collar workers and NEETs vote against their interests because of pride/shilling/stupidity.

Theres a big difference between gainful employment and a white collar job. The biggest difference is the rate of placement. If you go to a trade school, you will be gainfully employed when you graduate at 18. You can get another 2 years at a tech college, and have a pretty decent life starting at 20. Just about everyone who graduates from those programs will ultimately get a job in their field. And thats a good thing, I'm not shitting on it at all. But college grads usually find a higher paying job, sometimes not in their field, but the degree gets them in the door. It proves they can learn and work toward a goal, get along in a professional environment. Thats the real key. Because when you're 45, you don't want to be standing on a concrete floor all day. You don't want to be carrying heavy shit, freezing balls, sweating balls. You want to be sitting in a nice quiet place, playing the radio, reading the paper, eating a fucking donut, ten feet from the indoor shitter.
