Also how the fuck is this suppose to work if he can't even have kids? Who becomes king when he dies?

White privilege.

I thought tyrion was king. I'm going to have to watch it again. The ending was pretty confusing

the heads of the major houses are going to have another meeting and vote on it

you're dumber than dogshit

GscaPK3 GoT is fucking retarded

Then why bother making him king? They could've picked someone who could bear children and then not have to worry about it. The ending made no fucking sense.

cause he's the 3 eyed nigga.

Did you miss the entire part where they literally said "Kings won't be born but chosen".

they literally say the king will be picked by the council now and wont be decided by bloodline anymore
pay the fuck attention if your going to watch.

I was really drunk when I watched it

The finale literally tainted the entire series. Entire character arcs and plot points were left completely useless and left the viewer with absolutely no “ah ha” moments that would be essential to providing substance to literally seasons of build up. I don’t care what anyone says those guys fucked it all up and yes I think many people could have written a better end to the series, it was shit and a let down... period.

So they're gonna wait for him to fucking die first? Again that doesn't make any goddamn sense

>only option that didn't end up in a war
>why is he king
The brains behind this thread could keep an ant-city powered for a few minutes at most.

The whole season was a shit show. I'm still not over how they killed off the night king in such a pathetic and worthless way, that again didn't make any sense.

How is him being king avoiding a war?

How do you think the current system works in most countries?

If the King dies the next in line will become interim King until a new one is elected. In the GOT world that would be the hand.

The King could also call a vote early if the King was of old age/ill/seriously injured etc.

Should the King/Hand both die then the most senior person on the council would become interim King, most likely the Master of War until the next King is elected.

Its in the books.

You're saying when he dies that faggot Tyrion will be king? My god, the writers really fucked this show in the ass. I still think Bran being king was fucking dumb though. Can bran even die of old age? Since he's the 3rd eyed raven or whatever.

>Yara and dorne would never forgive Jon
>edmurd is useless
>sansa just wants the north
>dorne wasnt even part of zombie fighting force
>Gendry is a barely legitimized bastard
>Robin Arryn is literally autistic even tho he looks like a knockout in that final scene
>everyone hates tyrion

No it is not

All the niggers left anyway so there was no point in sending off Jon. Even Sansa being king made more sense than Bran. How the hell are you gonna make Bran the king when his sister is fucking older than him AND he cannot have kids.

simple, GRRM wanted 12 seasons

Dave and Dan said no, we gonna go work on starwars

HBO said, hmmm how about 10 seasons to compromise?

Dave and Dan said no thx

GRRM got butthurt and stopped working on the show with them at around season 5, they ran out of source material and season 8 was just them lazily writing the show just to finish it

it basically all makes no sense and holds no consistency to the previous character arcs and it's a story board soo lazily thrown together that someone with high school level writing could have done a better job because they quite simply didn't give a fuck to do it well, they just wanted to move on to star wars because it's for more then 10x the pay that HBO was giving them for the entire season for even less work

that's just the way the world is, they don't care about your precious best show on t.v. it's just a job to them and if someone gives them more money to destroy it and move on, then they will

Attached: 1412281512458.jpg (460x400, 24K)

>literally
>literally
>period.
why talk like a faggot?

Tyrion would become King if Bran dies before he can elect a new King, yes. He would remain King until a new one is elected.

The previous 3 eyed raven was roughly 1000 years old so it doesn't seem like Bran would die of old age.

Not sure why you're so mad at the writers for this. This is what GRRM wanted to outcome to be so the end result would be the same in the books as well, it would just get there in a different way to the show.

Then why don't these people get fired or docked in pay if the show is shit? I will never understand that. Any other job they fire your ass if you suck.

and the first time they cant agree then lol war again.

>All the niggers left anyway so there was no point in sending off Jon.
If we're going to play this game why not start with the fact that neither Dorthraki nor Unsullied are bound by Westeros bullshit so I don't understand why the even kept him alive and wen to the council to "negotiate"
> Even Sansa being king made more sense than Bran.
Define "better."
>How the hell are you gonna make Bran the king when his sister is fucking older than him AND he cannot have kids.
They don't want kids to be next king, they want to elect leaders as they die.

>The previous 3 eyed raven was roughly 1000 years old so it doesn't seem like Bran would die of old age

Lmao, yet another plot hole. So basically they put in a guy as king that literally cannot die.

Unironically because jews/D&D/HBO cut masses of content from GoT to use for prequels, which in turn ended up robbing characters like Bran/Arya of purpose + feminism.

Consequently:-

> Arya gets the kill on the NK even though it makes no sense, because without it there's legitimately nothing for her to do in the show and no justification for having spent so much screen time on her.

Arya ultimately gets the kill because feminists pushed hard to show that a female could take down such a powerful male character.

> Bran was made king because there was simply no time to tell anything more complex relating to the NK and anything simple was cut for the prequel.

Says it all really. The jews in HBO couldn't let GoT tell any backstory/reasoning being the NK, so D&D scrambled to give him a purpose and reason as to why we spent so much time with him... so they make him king with the excuse that he 'has the best story'.

I hate how it ended.

the problem is, it's not really about making a really good piece of artistic heraldry, it's about making big money for HBO.

>literally
You're using that word wrong.

He can die, as shown by the previous raven.

longest wheelie in the history of Westeros, all the way from Winterfell to Kingslanding

it was his plan all along... are you stupid or did you not watch the show?

But then why even bother making him king at all if they wanted elections? This faggot can't die of old age so when the hell are they gonna do that? And also why did Arya even leave in the first place to sail off alone? Now you're telling me she's a fucking expert sailer?

And I didn't say she was better, I said it made more sense.

>He can die, as shown by the previous raven.
That guy was killed by the night king though. We don't know if just anyone could kill him.

>Now you're telling me she's a fucking expert sailer?
You don't need to be an expert sailor to explore. That's why you hire a crew to do that for you.

And she hinted at wanting to go West in previous seasons.

>We don't know if just anyone could kill him.
Bran can die just like any other human from a combat injury.

>it was his plan all along
Yeah I'm sure his plan was to get cucked for 8 fucking seasons, be trained by the raven which turned out to be a complete waste of time, while everybody else did all the work, only to come in out of nowhere and become king. Because he's THAT fucking smart.

Faggots sometimes make good points.

it's simple, it's a buisness, they still got the ratings, HBO still gets the money, and they were the producers of the show, HBO simply paid them by the season to be producers then get a big pile of shit thrown on their lap and have to deal with it

they actually wanted more seasons because the ratings are soo good, and even though they fucked the show up, doesn't matter, still highest ratings on t.v. which is all that matters to the network at the end of the day because their job is to make money not make people happy or produce quality

even though you'd think the latter leads to more money, which it does, it doesn't really matter because they can just ride the coat tails of the first 4 godlike seasons and know that everyone will tune in even if you film a piece of shit rotating in a fire for an hour and a half, people will still tune in to see what happens to the shit that catches on fire because they want to see how it ends

>get cucked for 8 fucking seasons, be trained by the raven which turned out to be a complete waste of time, while everybody else did all the work, only to come in out of nowhere and become king. Because he's THAT fucking smart.
If it was his plan, it didn't become his plan until he became the 3 eyed raven.

>But then why even bother making him king at all if they wanted elections? This faggot can't die of old age so when the hell are they gonna do that?
Only Bran knows he is immortal in that council meeting.
>And also why did Arya even leave in the first place to sail off alone?
It's her nature. The whole "That's not me" meme is her way of communicating that they don't have the medicine to diagnose her particular brand of autism in Westeros so they call her an adventurer.
>Now you're telling me she's a fucking expert sailer?
When did I say that? Also, there are other people on the ship, probably even some who know how to operate one.
>And I didn't say she was better, I said it made more sense.
My bad I misread.

If his plan the whole time was to be king then why the hell even bother becoming the 3 eyed raven? That doesn't make any fucking sense

Because it wasn't his plan the whole team. Read what I wrote.

>it didn't become his plan until he became the 3 eyed raven
> why the hell even bother becoming the 3 eyed raven

Attached: 1531957652406.jpg (540x661, 55K)

You are correct. Although Tyrion will be a shadow king. Bran is just a figurehead.

Can't we even have one thread about entertainment without some pompous fucking foot in mouth asshole like you posting like you're a fucking film critic?

Can't we?

CAN'T WE?

Then what are they gonna do when it's 500 years later and the nigger is still alive? Just say to him "hey man you've been king for awhile now, how about letting someone else give it a shot haha". And I didn't say you said that, I'm just saying none of this makes any logical sense whatsoever.

They will eventually switch to a system of Democratic Socialism.

>mfw Rickon and Dickon were never the gay emperors of Essos

Attached: DatNatalie1460902444409.jpg (420x560, 79K)

But when if he can't even die of old age?

Based

Then the Realm remains peaceful.

That was gonna happen either way with or without him as king. Everybody is either dead or fucking off to where ever.

Nope. With Bran in charge, there is order and stability.

>Then what are they gonna do when it's 500 years later and the nigger is still alive?
He becomes the villain and the new NK marches down as a savior rather than the ultimate evil. That'd be pretty cool.
> I'm just saying none of this makes any logical sense whatsoever.
Right, because it was rushed and the dots weren't connected properly. Can't say that Bran being king makes no sense, it's just sloppy and retarded looking.

As opposed to who?

I just hope they bury this fucking show and don't do any spin-offs, because this was a fucking disaster.

ITT: a bunch of braindead pricks who can't grasp the simple concept of how to pay attention to the TV when you're watching it

Bran won't age because he's the birdman now. It's a big scam.

You made the dumbest post ITT by a mile, congrats

you're a fucking spoiled brat

Attached: Arya_mad.jpg (500x282, 25K)

Idiot, maybe don’t watch a show belligerently drunk... and if you do more power to you. But at the very least don’t come online and complain because your tiny complex of a brain can’t register words as they come out and complete sentences

my one regret is that she didn't get loli naked

This. You're only supposed to POST belligerently drunk you fucking bastard.

Who the fuck are you talking about? Little boy, does your mommy know you're on Yea Forums looking at traps and nigger porno?

um user you're uh proving his point

There will be another season, and it will have transgenders as leads.

Delete this thread faggot.

You still have time.

How, by not being a retarded 10 year old faggot? Wah I'm gonna go into this thread and cry like a gay little bitch. Like anybody fucking cares.

Your ass got handed to you OP

Delete it.

(((delete it)))

i barely got into the series, i watched season 2 episode something. there was a lot of sex scenes and killing.

Move on kiddies, plenty of trap and nigger threads for you to post in. We're trying to have a discussion in here.

Glad that the patriarchy is back.

>liking non-shit shows makes you spoiled

It would be more pc for the kingdom.

D&D decided "fuck it let's cash out who cares what happens"

Wouldn't it be more PC to give it to grey worm?

He's the most logical choice. Nobody can lie to him. He see's everything that happens. He's devoid of most human emotional attachments as well. He'll probably make a great king.

> be dickless super predator
> lead the most elite army in the world
> so badass we defeat the living dead
> Queen burns down a city full of cracker peasants cos she hates bells
> kek
> Queen is stabbed by her nephew/boyfriend
> mfw I'm king

>Nobody can lie to him. He see's everything that happens. He's devoid of most human emotional attachments as well

Those are all things that would make you a terrible king

But what are his motivations for ensuring the good of the realm? For all we know, he could very well rule malevolently, especially since we learned basically dick all about what the 3ER is and does.
Actually, it's kinda fucked up, because the last 3ER, Brynden Rivers had used his dark magic to further his Kings' agenda before he was exiled to the Night's Watch, so I don't really trust Bran at all as king tbh.

Not being able to be manipulated by people and not having pussy ruin your thoughts is a bad thing?

its a tv show, who gives a fuck.
also the whole storyline of GOT is a Stark redemption ark, that's why.

Attached: 21k frens now, remember to take care of other frens.jpg (749x979, 63K)

hes the memory of the world since hes the three eyed raven, he dies, humanity dies. He can see everything essentially.

That is true, we don't know if his motivations are good. BUT we do know he's the 3ER so you'd assume that his desires are for the general good of the realm.

They ran out of time and didn't know how to wrap up his character arc so they just made him king and pretended like that was the plan all along. Cause they're bad writers. The same way they didn't know how to wrap up Jon's arc so they just sent him back to the nights watch like in the beginning of the show, and they just turned Dany into the mad queen in the last season because they didn't know what to do with her either. It was all so surface level and predictable. The only reason anyone didn't see it coming is because nobody expected it to be so predictable.

There are two types of people in this world... Those who can extrapolate information from incomplete data

I look forward to your screenplay so you can show them all how to do it.

Writers got the dumb for a minute.

This was specifically addressed by the teeny little angry man.

Being completely emotionless and having the powers of a 3 eyed raven, odds are pretty high he would be a shit king. Not to mention he cannot die.

>he's the 3ER so you'd assume that his desires are for the general good of the realm.
But that's just wrong man. At least with Jon or Dany on the thrown, you know that they have human emotions, and have been shown time and time again to do what they believe is best for the realm as a whole, and for its people.

Being that the 3ER is very heavily associated with and protected by the children of the forest, a group of beings who willfully fought against the Andals (humans who colonized westeros), it is highly unlikely that his motives are good for the common people.

Honestly, the biggest disappointment isn't that Bran is on the throne, it's that they didn't do anything with it- everyone in the ending scene in the last episode is just a fucking hand puppet of a character with very little character-based motivation to continue serving the realm.

long live bran the broken

>Jon's arc so they just sent him back to the nights watch like in the beginning of the show
I didn't understand this. If the walkers are dead and the wilderings are past the wall, what are they suppose to be guarding against?

Well we will never know. I for one thought it made sense to put him there.

you would be an emotionless puppet too if you just saw everything you know crumble around you.

Maybe it is not intended as a happy ending. The council of surviving characters thinks they have hit on a great plan, but what characters think are great plans on GoT tend to lead to everybody getting nekkid for a minute then killed.

Niggers

Cool story. I'm sure he will be a great leader. You know, a man the people look up to. A strong leader they are willing to follow. I'm sure a cripple fits that roll

>I'm sure a cripple fits that roll
I'm detecting sarcasm. Franklin Roosevelt > any US president AND presidential candidate in the past two decades.

Because Brynden Rivers has been playing the long con and is now king via possession of Bran's body. All according to plan.

It's better when you realize brans evil. The 3 eyed Ravens a passed down consciousness passed down through the ages that draws it's power and owes it's allegiance to the children of the forest. So now they're in control of the realms of man and will get their revenge this way instead of through the night king

Franklin was one of the most emblazoned and charismatic leaders of recent history

Bran has 0 personality and seems like he'd delegate literally all of his duties to his council.

All the niggers left though and they don't like cold weather

Different times. A medieval leader can't be a pussy who barely speaks with no personality at all

Did you not study medieval leaders at all in school? You did go to school, correct?

This. Bran is like the blind dude from Vikings. Awesome to have as a joker but he can't lead anything

Give me an example of a great leader who barely speaks, can't walk, can't reproduce and has no personality at all. And every other ally hates you pretty much

>winter is coming
>winter is coming
>winter is coming
*blinks
>is spring now

Edward the confessor had no kids and his only personality traits were going to church and dying without an heir

Every time they called it "the great war" on the show I fucking died. One battle is neither great nor a war.

That's hardly the same as brans fate

>Give me one example

>Okay, but like, shut up

>Makes sure Jon finds out about his heritage to put friction between him and Dany
>Encourages Jon to then tell Sansa and Arya, aware of what this would cause
>Sees Dany's transformation into the mad queen and does nothing to stop it
>Could have prevented the murder of thousands of King's Landing residents
>"Why do you think I came all this way?"

Way better when you realise Bran had this all planned out from the beginning.

Who cares. Lotr is the only true fantasy saga

Attached: rvtvehwqkg031.jpg (750x1334, 93K)

>Way better when you realise Bran had this all planned out from the beginning

Can you people please stop saying this? It's pretty obvious he didn't have jack shit planned.

this

Reminder that he could go back and see anything in the past
>masterclass lessons in manipulation from Littlefinger

exactly this

The past is a fact. The present is alive, and changing. The future has potential.

Can you imagine seeing all that, all the time?

Long live Bran the Broken.

Because he's the ice guy

so he's basically the Oracle

Arya is GRRM's wife's favorite character and a trained magic assassin. I think you're too high on your own supply (of figurative pcp/meth)

I know her boobs were unconventional but I'd rail Dormer if it killed me

Great example of how the concept of celebrity is BS. On GOT with the makeup & lighting she's a hottie but see her in real life and she's a barely average women who was willing to expose her breasts. #metoo get real.

they wrote themselves into a corner with the white walker thing. they wanted to make it so bleak and so hopeless, but werent clever enough to have a good resolution. so they were like "the rogue can one shot him" and called it a day

More like why isn’t Gendry king, why isn’t Tyrion dead, and what was the point of sending Jon to the wall? For his crimes of killing a mad tyrant before shit got really fucking bad? As punishment? Yeah I’m sure a former lord commander with lots of friends at the wall is gonna feel real punished? To protect the wall? Walls gone.

Because Jon Snow just can't get a fucking break.

because he's not human anymore. humans corrupt when given power 100% of the time. the message of the show was power attracts the worst of us and corrupts the best.

Melisandre couldn’t revive anyone with a claim before killing her self? Like “Here’s Stannis. He’s in charge now.”

FUCK YOU

SOCIETY WILL CONTINUE TO UNFOLD AS IT SHOULD WITHOUT YOUR FUCKING PERMISSION OK?

FUCK OFF

>why isn’t Tyrion dead
I agree it's fucking bullshit that little fuck got to live at the end. Him and arya with the plot armor got so out of hand.

Go away Dan. You fucked up. Admit it

That's one of the issues I had with early game of thrones too.
Why did mel give birth to that shadow baby to kill renly only once?
that's such a fucking deus ex machina ability and yet it's used to kill only one of 5 kings, so fucking stupid.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST DO NOT REPLY TO MY POSTS UNLESS YOU ARE 100% IN AGREEMENT DO YOU HEAR ME FROGPOSTER?

FUCK OFF

Ignore that kid, eventually his mom will change his diaper and he'll fuck off

There’s zero reason for him to be alive. He was an enemy of both his family and the Unsullied/The new government.

David, calm down. Everyone drops the ball sometimes. For you, it was season 8

Lmao I hope he isn’t baiting and is genuinely upset

Because plot points and no in between. Sad the show went to shit but I’ve got bigger problems in my life.

>Lmao, yet another plot hole. So basically they put in a guy as king that literally cannot die.
...This was Westoros ....as proven by 8 year's worth of murder and hits put out on people from the crown he CAN die and probably would for the power vacuum left behind in a real world scenario

>in a real world scenario
kek

She’s OP as fuck.
>Can literally bring anyone back from the dead
>Can literally kill anyone from the comfort of an inn.
>Does each only once.
Revive Stannis and ghost baby Roose Bolton, Tywin Lannister, and Daenerys, and boom! Shows over.

Who's going to kill him? Everyone else who wanted it is either dead or nowhere to be found

That's why it's going to be peaceful for the next 1000 years. Until someone else finds a dragon egg.

>You're saying when he dies that faggot Tyrion will be king?
Imagine being so fucking stupid that S8's dumbshit plot goes over your head. Jesus christ

Coz he's the one who actually fucked whoever the fuck Jons' mum is

I don't understand that either. If she can bring people back from the dead why didn't she do it more often? And technically, couldn't she revive walkers?

Speaking of behalf of human nature or rather their nature as kids go to battle and rule people and die miserably .....Am i wrong in thinking that's NOT a possibility after what we witnessed ?

man puberty really did a number on this poor guy

But there's no checks and balances if he becomes evil

Wheelchair retard

Because that's not what the Lord of Light wanted.

I was sure they were going to write in some shit about how people who are reborn from the red god have some drawback, but no, it's literally just jesus christ back to life hallelujah voodoo bullshit

He hasn't shown any sign that he will become evil.

>tfw the only good part of season 8 was Cleganebowl and it still sucked

he was a hot loli

Whoever wanted to take control of the world ? Again we witnessed depravity on a epic scale and NO ONE thinks someone wont try to kill him and take whats his Necromonger style ?

She can revive people that the lord of light wants revived, which categorically does not include walkers.

It's just like that kid from the walking dead. Their characters are suppose to be like 10 years old but the actors look like grown fucking men. It ruins the whole watching experience.

Why is everyone butthurt over this show but me?

Drogon burnt the throne so they needed someone who already had a chair.

>Because that's not what the Lord of Light wanted.
yeah because we got a lot of exposition on what the lord of lights' beckons are

ffs beric got revived 8 times just to hodor for arya? that is honest to god just shit writing

Why would the lord of light not want Stannis revived? That doesn't make any sense

actually in the books they come back less and less human and "themselves" each time

or more likely you're too dense to figure it out

LMFAO !!!

did you even like the show a little bit before this season came out?
i don't understand how anyone who would call themselves even a small fan would enjoy the travesty this season was

Mellisandre misinterpreted the flames.

Lord of Light REALLY wanted NK dead, so yeah he sent someone to make sure Arya didn't get eaten by some dipshit zombies.

Lord of Light doesn't give a fuck about Stannis and never has.

>the travesty this season was
see that just sounds like something someone like you is "supposed" to say to look cool

I feel sorry for people like you who can't think

The lord of light won’t let me revive a rightful heir to ensure peace, but has got no problem bringing Berric back like 19 times. Does anyone want to explain to me how a priest for the lord of light who can ignite his sword at will freeze to death anyway?

yeah, i was hoping they'd lean into that aspect a bit this season, and go more into Jon losing his humanity or something

they even made a fucking big deal out of it last season when Davos was hyping Jon up to Dany, but again it didn't fuckin amount to anything so who gives a fuck

i thought the whole goddamned thing was gay and boring.

Where in the fuck do people get this idea that HBO offered them anything considerably more than what they got in terms of budget or number of episodes? All I ever see is that Dan and Dave were offered "unlimited episodes and unlimited budget" with no absolutely no credible source on that information at all, probably because no TV executive on the planet would ever agree to it.

The current version of the show was running on fumes and everyone from the top down was aware of it. They're priming the property for a soft reboot in a couple years and were probably not offering Dan and Dave nearly as much of a budget as people are imagining.

I first read the books 10 years ago, and have been following the show since it first started airing.
I've been waiting for Winds from George for the better part of a decade by this point.

I think I'm entitled to speak about my magnitudes of disappointment about the series' conclusion.

...he? Didn't?

I'm just explaining why Stannis died. As usual, your failure to get what happened makes you throw the whole concept out.

Or you're just a hypercritical sod who's just too good for everybody.

she tells him in the fucking show when he asks her to whip him up another one that each shadow child takes life away from the father and that another one would probably kill Stannis

Why not just let Berric kill the NK then? Or Jon or anyone else with Valyrian steel?

How was it "supposed" to end in the books?

GOT is tv for people who think they know what good tv is. The Andy Griffith show had more depth and better characters.

You still sound like a hipster dipshit.

no nudity tho

thank god they didn't get andy naked

Thoros of Myr, aka Mr. Firesword, froze to death in the show

GoT was actually the best TV show of modern times.

*barney

Find another father. Some random fuck foot soldier. It obviously doesn’t have to be Stannis, because the lord of light didn’t give a fuck about him anyway

>so I don't understand why the even kept him alive and wen to the council to "negotiate"
So they don't die leaderless in a foreign nation? No empire let's foreign armies just lounge around, they either swear allegiance or die

Jon didn't want it and was a prisoner
also gray worm would most likely start a war if they put Jon as King

Sansa didn't want it as well as she wanted to be in a free North

Gray Worm by the end of all this wanted nothing to do with westeros much less be King
also he would have killed Jon

it really comes down to they ether dont want it or they will end up killing Jon and or starting a war with the north

Bran as tyrion said never even played the game as such he has/had no lust for power a trait most would say helps make for a good leader he also would let the north be free and not kill Jon so he just fit into place that said Jon still should have been king imo

Look, cinematically, the last season was fantastic. It was a spectacle to view, and I doubt we'll get another medieval-centered fantasy on this budgetary scale in the near future (unless the tolkien amazon shit turns out to be lit).

But the characters seemed to lack motivation and character the whole season through. Jon, who is essentially the Jesus Christ figurehead of asoiaf had maybe 3-4 different pieces of dialogue this season, it's just disappointing to see a lack of fulfilling resolution for almost every major character.

start a war with what army? the magically re-appearing dothraki and magically multiplying unsullied?

cool ad hominem brosef, will keep it in mind

Why are we still talking about a shit series that should of ended years ago based on a boring series written by a guy that wants to write lord of the rings but isn't smart enough to? Just wondering.

People on Yea Forums don't work in operations/finance/business management, they just assume

Stannis died because the lord of light couldn’t give two shits about him, agreed. But why wouldn’t the LoL bring back a claimant to the throne who also had a belief and conviction for him?

What makes you think that dipshit knows? Nobody knows how it's suppose to end in the books

>the magically re-appearing dothraki
Yeah what the fuck was this bullshit about? They literally never die and dominate every battle they're in. It's such bullshit.

Diversity hires

Why do faggots like you go into threads and do nothing but cry and bitch? Nobody cares dude, keep it moving

Could be that he doesn't care about who's king.
Or it could just be that no one tried and now he's facepalming about how fucking bad his priestesses are at interpreting his messages.

GRRM hasn't been able to come up with a good ending to the story even though he's been actively working on it since 1991, and has probably had some version of the story in mind since he read LOTR over 50 years ago.

Dan and Dave have had to do the same thing in maybe two or three years, and as TV showrunners most of their time was spent on tasks not related to writing at all.

I'm not saying they didn't make mistakes, just that they're being treated incredibly unfairly by people who don't like that the show didn't play out like their fanfiction.

Cause fags are in with Hollywood

I mean, even if he didn’t care about who was king, wouldn’t it still be most effective to put in someone with a legitimate claim who is also a believer?

Not that. Actually want to know. It just wasn't that appealing after the first season. I always want people to defend the show with things other then viewer numbers or insulting me. But I see I won't get that here either.

It was decent up until Robb died. Now it’s just “generic fantasy grit”

It just that you're obviously a one dimensional, simple man.
I would try to explain but it would obviously go right over your head

You already made up your fucking mind that you don't like it, so why would anyone bother? This is like me going into a Marvel thread and then complaining that I don't like Marvel.

Frankly, story-wise, I think the ending itself is almost palpable.

It just feels extremely rushed, now it's hard to truly say if it's HBO or d^2 who are at fault for that. There were huge character developments and arcs that were practically thrown out the window because of inconvenient time allotment.

I don't understand the argument that the writing was bad because they had too much on their plate either, it's not just the writing either, the dialogue was downright cringey at points too (see Gendry "Waters", The Varys/Tyrion cock banter, that whole fucking dragon pit scene in the last episode). It just feels like the show was almost dumbed down or otherwise catered towards more casual watchers, which was never the case with Thrones in the first half of the tv series.

You're a hipster wannabe dipshit critic. Ooo gotta say something cool so you're not like the other plebs. I'll say whatever "ad hominem" I want because you deserved it.

I'm willing to concede that they dropped the ball on all the gods trying to tie up the story.

He knows more than you do.

I'm disappointed that REO Speedwagon didn't get a cameo.

One of my favourite series didn't pan out the way I liked it to and was clearly rushed.

My opinion is far from hipster critic bullshit, the whole thread has very similar sentiment, and it's the same with other big fans of Song on the westerosi forums.

I don't even understand why you're attacking me at this point, it's clear you're just a little madboi with nothing important to say so you get buttfrustrated

Attached: (6).jpg (573x609, 45K)

Because of poor writing.

No user you have to give hive answers about how "bad" it was.
>One of my favorite series
Finally. Finally you admit the show was good.

The LoL cast level 19 mass resurrection on them. They lost some numbers but had about 80% of their originals.

What's poor about it/ Why do you agree that Bran is a "useless faggot?"
Neither of you sound like you know how to think.

Maybe, but no one actually tried to revive him so we'll never know if Lol would have been cool with it.

Nigga I said I read the books 10 years ago, of course I love the series- the first 4 seasons were fantastic pieces of visual media.

That doesn't stop me from hating how the showrunners executed the last two seasons.

What's supposed to happen in the books? Where do they end?

With Jon getting killed at the wall.

Because he was sexy as fuck in the first season omg I wanted to be his assistant so I could bathe his beautiful boy ass.

I've already written about my major critiques of the show. It's not the story, it's the dialogue and lack of resolution that ruins the ending of the show.

>there's power in king's blood
How many kings were there?

IIRC they just give a spoiler of Arya unleashing her training on the 'too old' meme knight, forget his name.It left off right after her training and Jon Snow dying.

How does that resolve the story?

But if the books are unresolved too, who the fuck cares?

Yeah you're not wrong, but I'm thinking that the reason the show was rushed was at least in part because the cast and crew were all tired of being tied to one show for as long as they were.

I'm sure that after ten years they all wanted to move on with their lives and didn't feel like spending another four months filming in the freezing cold in Northern Ireland again.

And for what it's worth, I'd prefer a slightly rushed story to something padded out with dumb filler.

It doesn't. That's where the current books end. We'll have to wait for the next ones to see how it resolves.

The books have only been written up to the point where Jon gets betrayed by his fellow crows and gets killed.

That should give you the kind of perspective of how much of the Thrones tv show has had to work on since then.

We already know where it resolves. No way is Martin going to change it. Here's hoping he takes it beyond the wall with Snow and there's another series!

>because the cast and crew were all tired of being tied to one show for as long as they were.
Oh yeah all those poor bastards making millions of dollars to play pretend on a fucking TV show. I wonder how they sleep at night.

The show followed a pretty logical course. It would have been cliche for Dany to be a Good Queen who brings an era of peace. There were already hints of her cruelty earlier.

I thought they were rushed, but not the "travesty' you and other impatient fucks in here are trying to paint it as.

Reminder that Lena Headey made a million bucks per episode on a total of 2 lines of dialogue over the whole of season 8.

So much of the "outrage" over this show is media and fan-driven. It's so retarded.

Anyone who actually feels bad for actors of all people, I'm sorry but you are a fucking cuck. All of these assholes make a ridiculously well living and are having a fucking blast when they do shows like this. Try being a fucking dishwasher for a week than tell me how fucking hard these people have it playing pretend and make believe for a TV show.

I feel bad for any of the actors who might get stopped on the street or in a store by some of the faggots in this thread.

But why? These people made millions from this show, fans have every fucking right to stop them in the street and ask them for autographs and pics. They don't deserve any pity from anybody.

This was the only geed thing that escaped the final season...behold... youtube.com/watch?v=QCHlCiB98N4

You think that every single person who works on a tv show is a millionaire?

Not for autographs. Being stuck discussing why Season 8 was so "bad" with some bugeyed neckbeard.

tbf, many of the actors/actresses have openly discussed their distaste for the final season, so we'd definitely have something to talk about.

Even the shit-tier show Euron's actor expressed his disappointment about what the showrunners painted him as, instead of being more similar to his book counterpart.

disagree, i think hbo thought people would like it anyway, they wanna sell blue rays and shit, trust me they arent happy with d&d

And it's greed like that that probably killed their budget so more seasons weren't financially feasible, hence the rushed ending.

They can get good Chinese food any night of the week if they wanted, and yes they probably have smashing flats.

Jon Snow.

>You think that every single person who works on a tv show is a millionaire?
Dude, the people who did THIS show made bank. Not one person is going to go hungry because they had to do GoT.

Maybe the ones who got killed might not like that they got offed. But usually it's the writer of the article who's got it out for the show.

Basically because the book says so.
George gave d&d the ending how he has planned it for the books.
But the thing is that there's likely gonna be alot of story and more in depth development of Brand in the books, and also on Daenerys turning mad.
While in the show, it felt more like the focused on other things and then just mashed in the ending for the last episodes to have the correct ending, which doesn't make much sense in the shows context because it either felt rushed(Danny) or inconsistent to the story(Brand), while it will likely make alot of sense in the books.

Though IMO they're all probably never going to work in anything bigger than this show again.

The whole religion thing was a shit arc anyway. I was talking about the LoL in particular because there was obviously power there and they didn’t capitalize on it

But again, why the fuck not? They made money and they played a hand in how bad this season was, so why shouldn't fans ask them those questions? These people are not gods.

Jon kills Dany to forge a sword that can kill the night king. Cersei is killed by her little brother jaime. Everyone else pretty much gets fucked by the night king, the penultimate villain in A song of Ice and fire.

They could have solved the problem by having more episodes than fucking 6. Take out a loan, mortgage, anything to pay for it.

Confirmed alive king's blood:
Jon Snow
Gendry Baratheon
Danaerys Targaryen

So, even if we're not including the 2 targaryens, we'd still have the whole of Gendry for blood magic sacrifices

The entire cast gets glowing eyes and falls down in a heap. Somebody would still complain about it.

>Though IMO they're all probably never going to work in anything bigger than this show again
Most of them won't, but they made enough money that they don't really have to either

>Jon kills Dany to forge a sword that can kill the night king
does she still go nuts, or is he sacrificing her to the Lord of Light?

Not sure it's about money as much as the thrill of acting. But we all know them from this show. How could they top it

Bran's dick doesn't work so he cannot have children. So the only way they can have a new king is if they all elect one. That is a fucking lame way to end the book or the show regardless. I don't want to watch a show about a lame ass democracy I live in a democracy. I enjoy the show for themes of monarchism, loyalty, chivalry, piety etc.

the flip in all of the characters was dumb. Bron's five minutes of screentime was dumb. Sansa being allowed to break away independently was dumb.

Money wasn't the problem, they where even offered more episodes by HBO.
But they wanted to focus on other movies

dont worry, someone will remake it in about a decade, then GRRM will probably be done with half of the second to last book and 75% of you will still be alive to bitch about it again...

Attached: 1557546979359.jpg (655x509, 41K)

Many fans have speculated that she'll go mad because of Faegon (see varys and illyrio's plot from the book) trying to usurp the throne by winning over the people of king's landing as having the true claim to the iron throne

Having more episodes wouldn't have magically fixed anything, entitled fanboy cunts would start bitching about filler instead.

aka disney ruins game of thrones

Plenty of other actors do it all the time. These people will be fine. Even if they aren't they made a king's random from this shit. You give me 2 millions dollars right now I will never work another day in my life. In other words fuck them.

>bitching about filler
that's the problem dumbass, there was barely enough time to spread out the dense fucking content to begin with, even adding a single episode to give gravitas to the death of Dany and the weight of Jon's actions on the people around them would have been huge

they literally killed her, and then 10 minutes of runtime later, they're making a joke about edmure tully in the dragonpit

yeah, it used to be awesome, it became shit in season 6, cersei blowing up the high septim was the only good scene after season 5.

such smelly and sandy vaginas

I'd fuck her in ha heart beat.

I can't imagine any of them going on to anything bigger. They've got those stiff English accents for one thing. Emilia Clarke? Maybe, like Natalie Portman did.

Well, there hasn't been any mention of Bran not being able to have children until Sansa said it in the last episode, so him being sterile isn't a thing in the show.
And just because Bran might be king in the books doesn't mean it will be a democracy like in the show, and it doesn't mean he will get elected either. There might be a rebellion from all around led by Jon(If he even gets ressed) or someone else, who has no real interest in the throne, but has a desire to overthrow Danny, and Bran gets the iron throne by conquest.
There's really no way of knowing how it will end in the book, maybe Bran being king isn't even part of the ending George gave them

Sophie Turner is a staple in the Fox X-Men movies, so that's not GoT level by any means, but it's definitely something.
The rest of the cast, I don't see doing much of anything, maybe some TV or some B-list movies.

Him being sterile isn't a thing in the books*
I meant

This muthafuka

Voice overs.

It was good move. Even royalty in England evolved into democracy. Bran becoming King is a Magna Carta of sorts, where divine right of kings is weakened by the subjects to ensure survival of the Realm.

The Dothraki, Unsullied and Greyjoys would have never accepted Jon, they wanted a safer option to avoid another war.

Electing a disabled kid was the safe play.

>might
>could
I am not a fan of the books so I really don't care about that. I will never read them. I am a fan of the show and I am annoyed at how it ended because there were lots of other options to end it better and not piss everyone off.

George Martin has done in 8 years what it took George Lucas 30+ years to do

The prophecy was established at the beginning. A song of ice and fire is a reoccurring event. Jon being "Azor Ahai" means he will have to forge a sword for 100 days and 100 nights then quench it through the heart of his lover. The ending has been apparent the whole time. This is just a retelling of the age of heroes.

Opie was cute but OMG now?

A good point to bring up, that entire storyline was completely scrapped and its essential to the ending. Hes the third head of the dragon.

I agree on that, the shows end sucked horsecock

Fuck Bran!

Attached: 181088.jpg (1397x2100, 521K)

Dothraki and unsullied were inconsequential in that decision. They had no power and no relevance in Westeros. The greyjoys can fuck off back to their island and continue hating like they always have.

Dany's/Greyworms flip was the biggest peeve to me, Bran being king was just random like OK, we doing this. I really wish there would have been more with Bran/NightKing but apparently we aren't supposed to care about that very much since it was resolved so quick like that. I like how Jon ended up in the North with Ghost and Tormund. All our other favorites got hero deaths

OH YEAH WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE REEDS

I guess they're just fucking off in the Reach, but oh wait no, there is no one in the Reach anymore right? Makes no fucking sense.

The floating city got put on the boat for abandoned storylines.
