First job?
22, first job
holy shit
throwing milkshakes at right wingers
also you should apply for pepsi merchandising or wendy's chef in the meantime
yea buddy. 4 years neet, finally gonna make some money.
22 and it's your first job? I hope you have an awesome education..... but seriously though. Expect to put up with bullshit. Especially your 'supervisor' if he/she is nice than you really dont have anything to worry about other than bullshit customers. Chin up, bro
if even burger king wont hire me im sayin fuk it and joining the army or something. and I wont take too much degrading or ill quit.i just hope everyones cool
The food indusry is absolutely hell on earth to work in. Get ready to bust your ass for shit money. I guess the only thing you have to look forward to is that it will get a quarter of the business as the McDonald’s next to it so you won’t have to completely bust your ass. I suggest you go to your unemployment agency and try to get into unionized factory work. You’ll make 2-3 times the money doing 5% of the work you would in food service. After 3 months if you hate your job you can just bid into another department. I bid into the robotics department and literally shitpost on my phone for 8 hours a day at $25 an hour while robots do all the work.
It's where the poors go for food. So, highschool students/minimum wage slaves. Both will have an attitude and expect you to take their shit with a shit eating grin on their face or a hand on their hip, and you will. Welcome to hell.
yeah I actually did register for one of those a couple years ago. problem is I live in a small town and cant drive out there without a car. well fuck maybe ill just try and find some work from home shit
leddit is this way cuckfag ->
Oh well, that's less depressing than if you had gone to school and actually tried.
Expect this.
tell me things i dont know kid. wish i could go back in time so bad but cant. go prank urself by wasting ur life.
i been there a few times and its all bitchy latinas. not sure if good or bad
lol
Being gainfully employed is always worth it. At 22 it seems to be you've got some catching up to do in the job market so if you get the job take it and use it as a learning experience. Yes, fast food (and the service industry in general) sucks but so does not having money.
Set a goal of not staying there more than a year and use it as a stepping stone to better jobs.
Then work at Burger King for a few months and save for a beater car. Just be careful in the food industry especially if you have an addictive personality because within a month you’re going to have a literal buffet of potential drug connections and with having to slave away over a 400 degree flat grill 8 hours a day its going to make those drugs sound really appealing.
Remember there are cameras everywhere, both corporate and customers. Don't lose control and find yourself on social media on the wrong side of things.
You will be tested every day, and you have to keep telling yourself that this job is a stepping stone to the future. You're not staying here forever. You have to keep your nose clean. Work hard.
Don't get angry. Never lose your cool, not to your customers, your fellow workers, or your boss.
This is your shit entry level job, and its where most everybody starts, so its ok. You're not the first one to go through this, but you're going to to better than most. Keep telling yourself that. You'll do great.
Why did you choose burger king?
its hiring and my town is pretty small. I basically cant do shit.
hahahahaha
fast food job and you're hoping for "not too degrading"
you're in for a surprise my neet, better go back to the tendies life
>Balls never touch
It's cool man.
Most of the people are there for the exact same reason, bro. To make a paycheck. You'll have alot more in common with everyone than you think. Just dont be an unapproachable asshole. You'll be fine
Usually youll just get bitched at to work faster and make sure fries are already in the deep fryer if more than 1 car swings by the drive thru
I had my first job at 12, made $1.90 an hour. Very busy pizza shop. Got burned constantly, would slice onions every day on a deli slicer, big knives, hot grease, and 130 degrees in the kitchen. Getting your first job at 22, so you can afford your own cell phone.. man. Good luck. *And I'll just quit if they're mean to me* boo fuckin hoo. Pathetic.
I worked at Burger King for six months and I can tell you it was the worst six months of my part time job life. Incompetent management, stupid regs, and I swear I’m not racist but the fact fucking black and Mexican customers will make your life a living hell. The cooks get free passes on anything because they’re stressed. While the cashiers get blamed for literally anything
>fast food fags what should I expect?
Expect to have sore feet for the first few days as you get used to standing up for hours. Wear the most comfortable shoes you have.
>is it worth it?
More money > less money
You'll probably get sick of fast food.
You'll meet a bunch of bored chicks though, just don't fuck them in the kitchen. That's what the parking lot is for.
Make friends, fast food kids often like to party when shifts are over, if they're not school kids anyway (sometimes even then).
The ones that are school kids are often pretty smart, they're focusing on saving money asap instead of getting stoned and playing xbox after school. Most of the people I know who worked fast food in highschool went on to be pretty successful because they always had the attitude of getting ahead however they could.
>he cooks get free passes on anything because they’re stressed. While the cashiers get blamed for literally anything
You don't need to let the rush get to you, of course it's rushed but just focus and make burgers.
Cashier could suck a bit but cooks just have to make burgers. Cooks are going to be more rushed I guess but it's probably worth it not to speak to customers.
OP doesn't even have the job though, they just 'applied' and want a pat on the back for thinking of maybe working.
