The permanent solution is nothing short of nuclear fusion for power generation. Once we crack that, we will be able to reverse the carbon damage.

All of humanity (especially modern humans) have lived in an ice age/interglacial period. These are considerably lower temperature than the average earth temps like nearly all of the mesozoic.
So since everything we have known and evolved in is essentially a temp anomaly, we shouldn't expect the temperature to stay like this, with or without humans. Realistically we could have one more 'gaciation' period (building ice like antarctica is now) or maybe 2, but they may be mild (or they could be severe cold periods, there is evidence for both).

Since the earth is likely going to warm sometime soon geologically no matter what this leaves us with 2 options:

>or we could do what we can to focus on keeping our earth as nice as possible. This means focusing less on climate change and more on fresh water, water polution, and preparing for sea level rise

The Left's climate change narrative is very overblown. As a practical thing, we need to stop paving over our forests and jungles. We need to take much of our suburban sprawl and infuse into it as many green plants as we can. Plants take CO2 out of the air during photosynthesis. So, I would go on a planting spree; continue to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels at a measured pace -- the idea being not to eliminate fossil fuels altogether, but to confine them to uses where nothing else yet developed will work. But no 10 year or 12 year time limits.

Before anyone goes hysterical, the oceans are still where we're used to them being. It still gets cold and snows in the winter. There is no reason to panic.
