I remember when they first announced they were taking a big break between the current season and this last one. It was supposed to be 6-8 episodes and all of them the length of a feature film. Then we get a bunch of rushed BS, the first two episodes are barely 45 minutes and the rest just above an hour and a half.

I still liked this season but it was rushed and it was quite obvious it was. I hope they end up tanking Star Wars due to their greed.

This show has been bad for at least 6 seasons now, if you can consider season 2 to be good. It was okay, not complete dogshit yet. By season 3 they had completely thrown out the idea of it being an adaption of somebody else's work.

He burned the throne because her lust for power ultimately not only got her killed, but corrupted her. He didn't kill Jon because ultimately Jon loved her and in all reality killed her to save her from herself.

your right in the sense that is what happened but drogons intentions were never explained. Also as far as the show has had us believe, the dragons are basically slightly smarter dogs that can breathe fire so why tf would is beast give a fuck about some chair it knows nothing about especially after its mother was just killed? even if it was intelligent, iq of a child max so doesnt seem probable. the writers just wanted the symbolism of the throne being unmade by dragonfire and decided to give a mount more depth than some characters.

Arya's entire driving force for 8 seasons was her desire to get revenge. Everything she goes through is about that goal. Her entire experience with The Hound, which wasn't in the books, was about him teaching her that the only morality was strength and survival. Fuck everyone else. She trains with the Faceless Men for an entire season so she can learn to disguise herself and be an assassin. Then, when the time comes, she walks right through the front door in her armor and sword, with no disguise along with The Hound whose armor, notable size, and instantly recognizable face are disguised with a loose hood and cape from the guards manning the door. Then, as if that weren't dumb enough, they get within steps of Cersei and Arya's arc comes to completion with Sandor, unprompted, putting his hand on her shoulder and saying, "Don't end up like me kid," in spite of him being proud of her being more like him in the last fucking episode. And she's just like, "Ok," and turns around and leaves. Eight fucking seasons just to puss out at the last minute.

And that's just one major character. I don't care that things didn't play out like I thought they might; I can 100% accept that GRRM planned things to end more or less this way. But the way D&D wrote it is completely unbelievable. I don't even really care because complaining obviously isn't going to change anything, but it's fucking hilarious that so many people can't see past the pretty cinematography and decent acting and just admit the writing went to shit.
