People might fall for it if we emphasize cultural appropriation and bring attention to the fact that the symbol was stolen by the nazis. We just have to include the historical background of the symbol and where it originally came from.

Sorry to be a wet towel but the swastika originated 12,000 years ago in southern/Balkan Europe, then moved to India way later, and then was pretty well used around the known world.
Just sayin, someone's gonna point out its European in nature anyway. Unless someone's got a rebuttal?
