I'm down by Cedar Rapids. We don't ever find anything hunting any more, but they've started growing in our yard cuz of all the rain. I think we've got 8 on our quarter acre lot.

I have family near Iowa City and they get around 100-150 every year from there back yard. If you throw the water they soak in back into the woods it has potential to grow more because of spores n shit. (OP)

Legit long term veteran of mushroom hunting, morels this year I could only go 3 days and found around 12-14 pounds or so.
I will be hunting chicken of the woods and stuff when I get to feeling better.

Pardon my retardedness, I have lived half my life in a country town yet had never gone hunting.

How can you recognize sprouts? Also, is there a guide to hunt psylobin? Or whatever magic ones are called.

I love it but I got hurt recently so cant go as much, constant pain!
But yeah I love it, spring is mushroom hunting time for me, I love it and used to hike like a 100 miles in one spring just morel hunting for those few weeks.

Nah these are morels and please never eat a mushroom unless you can positvely identify it. They can kill you, painfully.
If you eat a destroying angel and dont realize it within 12 hours you are ad. and even before the 12 probably dead.

Morels aren't psychedelic but it's season all over the place for them. They like to grow by dead trees and specifically elms in my area (MN). They also like east facing hills. You won't notice them much unless there full grown because they blend in with the ground well. It's also good to look on a rainy and hot week. But these conditions don't gaurentee mushrooms, they can grow all over. (OP)
