I'm genuinely just interested in the bio-dystopian mythos and I think it's interesting how jaded or innocent all the fluffy abusers/owners are to the engineered mutants. Something about it draws me agressivly to these threads.

Agreed its why I started writing on the booru they mythos is so well developed it really grants you a large world to play in.

And what's hilarious is i used to be one of those people who popped into these threads to call people mentally ill faggots and now I can't not click on one.

Well excuse me for doging the edge but I can see where your coming from. Personally i enjoy it because I find it to be a good representation of how we as a society would rather commit violent acts against defensless creatures than suffer any inconvenience. The fluffys are basically chickens or cattle with the power of speech. Not that I'm a veggie or anything I'm just as bad as everybody else. It's just helpful when trying to understand why we are the way we are.

I agree in part I think its more a comment on the indifference of the masses. People seem to ignore the rampant suffering of the Fluffies partly because they are in their own helpless situation, and while thiers may not be quite as life or death it still causes them to standby.

The way I see it, it's part of our human nature/instinct, probably from the hundreds of thousands of years primates hunted and killed small animals for food. Exactly the same response a cat has to chase around a laser pointer, or a pit bull wanting to maul children. Can't stop it or judge it, it's just there. I don't think everyone has that trait, but I definitely notice it subconsciously, like in dreams

Fluffies to me are a great chance to look at a society which has normalized a new form of virulence. Often Fluffies are shown to be a cause of great suffering. Man in his own stupidity created a biological creature that can by nature of rapidly breeding, and high rate of consumption out strip the lands ability to replenish itself. This has caused the agricultural industry of their world to collapse. Crops are consumed by mega herds, and live stock is killed by diseases the overly common Fluffies introduced to their pastures while grazing and defecating . So food prices have skyrocketed, and a society beryl able 5o feed itself before is pushed closer to the brink. Mankind unable or unwilling to recognize he is the sorce of his suffering lashes out at the ready scapegoat. It is righteous to make them suffer as we do, or atleast that's the theory.

I have never seen anything about megaheards. It doesn't really fit with the lore either. The things are so damn self destructive it doesn't seem like they could function in a large heard. The smartys would all kill each other, then rape the babies to death, then the normal males. Smarties would be the cure to the problem of fluffy mega heards because they can't function in a group despite how common the mutation is.

Mega herds are just a term for any group of Fluffies over 100. Or an area in which 2 or more large herds are active. They tear up crops because they reproduce so fast, and their digestion is so ineffective they have to eat at a prodigious rate. A field of vegetation is a perfect environment for large groups without the need to scavenge for food the natural population control of starvation is removed and accidents associated with the activity is reduced. Ergo more Fluffies live long bread more soon you can't swing a dead fluffy without hitting 9 of em. Lore wise they showed up early check out the fall of Cleveland saga for a great example.

Show me one comic with a heard over 100 strong. Or any comic with a large heard.

Art tends to be thin because of the effort it takes to draw so many, but its a common enough story element

I think its a mix of the enjoyment of approved violence (the violence in the fluffy universe is usually approved of if not encouraged) and the stress relief of breaking something
