No

no. for a something to be wet it has to have water. lava is liquid rock which has no water therefore isn't wet.

This is a stupid thread and I hate it

no

Yes, because it is a liquid.

It is. I can tell for experience. Not sure which was the wet thing, my blood or lava though

If you've ever taken an elementary chemistry course you'll know that viscosity, malleability and density are what determines flow rate of a luquid. If you're talking water content, lets talk water content ;)

lava flows, it's a liquid. Maybe you need to go back to fucking whatever elementary school that taught chemistry.

he's not talking water content. he just wants to know if it's wet.

Shut the fuck up fucking bots.

That's not funny because that isn't how that works.

fuck off

>bad bot
> XD

Don't fucking reply to me you faggot nigger bitch-ass faggot nigger.

Stupid night stop talking out of you gay ass
LAVA is wet because majority of lava come from subduction fault wichno are due to the melting of really hydrated rock si that lava contain h2o molecules

Definitely a tranz

Chemically lava is made of the elements silicon, oxygen, aluminum, iron, magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and titanium plus other elements in very small concentrations. Not water.

Who?

the real question is how many water do you need to defeat 1 lava?

It flows: it's liquid. No one asked if it's fucking water you idiot.

Dip your finger in and find out

No one asked if its liquid
Is it fucking wet or not

What does wet mean?

honey isn't wet its sticky

lava isn't wet its burny

It's fucking too cool for you either way. Fuck off, faggot. Are you eating 10,000 calories a day still?

Is oil wet?

It flows, it's wet.

I'd say more moist than wet

Being wet is being saturated with a liquid, not the state of being a liquid.

No, lava is not wet.

No. It is not wet.
Water is one example of a liquid, Lava is another.
A layman definition of wet is: a surface with water on it.
Instead of wet it is liquefied rock, viscous fluid, or molten.

Is sand wet?

No, its hot, like the person who's reading this

typically used to describe the bonding of solder joints or blending alloys.
YES Wet is a physical condition of molten metal.

Real question: is water wet?

Or is it what makes things wet?

On occasion I have wondered this too.
...this might be the most intelligent thread ever posted here.

metro.co.uk/2019/01/18/is-lava-wet-online-debate-over-the-molten-rock-gets-heated-8347479/

it's not water-wet, but as for if it FEELS wet... ignoring the heat, i'd guess it feels as wet as honey does? not wet per se but sticky, mostly

These arguments always have more to do with the limitations of language then anything scientific.

You could say its wet by the definition of wet as an adjective and then say its not wet by its definition as a noun or verb

Both positions would be technically right in some ways and also wrong. Most people argue to win not to discuss inorder to find truth which leads to both sides debating endlessly in circles. We like to think the world is black and white, right and wrong ,fact and fiction but often it is simply much more nuanced

Soo... is tape wet ?

The way I see it, if something is wet, that means it's in contact with water.

briefly

LOL salty ass nigger just kys already

"Wet" is not a technical term, but usually associated with the presence of water, which would not exist at those temperatures.

Lava is actually very dense. If you fell on lava, it would be like falling on solid concrete, which is how scientists can walk on it. If somehow lava covered your foot, it would be like having a solid rock on it and you wouldn't be able to lift your foot.
