The ideal sweet spot would be for it to be nationally decriminalized where the use of it is only a petty charge and for people to just grow it on their own. Any sort of vice is almost always of less quality if you don't make It on your own. That is of course if you're smart enough or driven enougg to do so.

I think everything you mentioned should be legal and regulated. Legalization, regulation, and education have been proven to reduce drug abuse more than fines and imprisonment. Hard drugs that destroy lives should only be available from government sources in controlled settings because any corporation allowed to sell meth will abuse the fuck out of their consumers.

Prostitution should absolutely be legal because regulation largely eliminates the violence and disease associated with the trade. I don't really care about gambling, so just ensure that people understand the dangers of gambling

Weed was one of the last free market industries people could participate in and not be taxed up the ass and deal with government manipulations. i know this is bait, but i want others to know. i have insomnia and have been going to the doctors for years, been prescribed 9-10 different pills and they all either work in overdose or they work but with side effects. nothing has ever worked better than weed, i've been using it for two years now every night before hitting the sack and it hasn't failed me once. also, reading books when you're high (not blazed out of your mind though) is really something else, i can read for hours when im high and i usually never read books

If you have insurance, you are already paying for a ton of other people's ER visits, that is the point of collective insurance and insurance companies are the reason ER visits, check-up, and medicine are so expensive in the first place.

Also not having insurance doesn't mean you don't pay and they just distribute the cost to people with insurance, it means they cut off half or more of the book cost since that is what they would have charged insurance anyway and they put you on a billing plan or garnish your wages, but people who don't have jobs to garnish usually get their costs covered by various charities and fundraisers not your insurance companies.
