Pic related is what I own currently, Skullcandy Hesh 3. pretty comfortable, with a clean sound. The build quality is somewhat lacking, but It's not bad unless you wear them while jogging or something of the sort.

do you like the stuffed peppers of Mrs Johansed?

I don't know if thats a euphemism or an off topic question

I have these

What I like : They're great for listening to music for hours, comfortable, and has a very good sound

What I dislike : Required some finetuning of the EQ to get proper bass notes, when not tweaked, they're a little clinical in the sound

All in all, I'd say it's a good buy

Got some middle of the line sennheiser, but I usually end up using my cheaper Bose AE2. Those things have served me well, the padding is falling apart now, but I got them at target for like 99USD last time I was in the US

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset

I use this because it's wireless, you can charge a spare battery in the side of the base, and order extra batteries, theyre also quick swap for heavy users. The wireless reaches my entire house.

I have a pair of Skullcandy Crusher Wireless that I'm using right now. Sound is great. Bass is amazing if you can handle it and a bass head like me. Although, the build quality is bad. I had them since 2016 and 2 years into wearing them, the headphone band snapped. So I tapped them back together and it's still working I guess.

My Audeze LCD-2s are fucking stellar, insane base, comfort and soundstage

my facorite thing about them is how clean the signal is through the amp (and a well mastered music file as well) you can listen at hilariously loud volumes and not damage your hearing, thus allowing you to hear small details you never even heard before

Most people cant tell what good sound quality is anyway - why bother? Most people think beats by dr dre are "good". It doesnt matter. Find a headset with cool features and look pretty. its all the same trash.

I'm borrowing a pair of Dre Beats from my little brother, hopefully he just lets me keep them instead of charging me a hundred fucking dollars like he said he would, I'll give that little niglet 20 bucks and no more

For my computer I have a pair of HyperX Cloud II's. Otherwise I have a pair of Urbanears plattan 2 wireless. Good enough imo.

beyerdynamic DT770 Pro. Awesome.

Audio Technica AD700X

Great for gaming and watching movies. Honestly have zero complaints about them but you probably won't like them if you aren't a fan of open backs however

Beyer Dynamic DT 990 Pro

They were pretty expensive. Right now they're about $140 on Amazon so not too bad. They're extremely comfortable. I wear them for 12+ hours a day and have no issues. I've had them since 2016 and have zero issues at all. The sound quality is great. Directional audio is also great if I'm playing games.

The only cons I have with the headset were at the time they were expensive (about $230 if I recall). They have this strange telephone coil wire that can tangle pretty easily. The cord is long af so it's not really an issue but sometimes it's annoying when it starts tangling up on you.

The biggest issue I had with them was that they sounded like absolute shit when I first got them. I'm not sure if this is common with most high end headphones when you buy them but I needed to play with the equalizer for a while until I found the right sounding settings. The bass was all blown up too loud and everything sounded distorted. It took a few weeks of fiddling to finally find settings that sounded good to me.

I would recommend them if you're looking for something with high build quality, great sound, very comfortable for long sessions and not too expensive now which is a plus.

Really amazing headphones. The bass performance is amazing. If you like hip-hop or like to have explosions in video games/movies rattle your brain, these are a great set for the price point.

You need to break headphones in. Also a headphone amp and DAC will change your life. Most high end headphones need an amp to properly drive them and get the best tonality

I use closed-back because I prefer to keep out background noise and I can't say I enjoy anybody being able to hear what I'm listening to. Is the quality really that large of a difference?

>this

I postedMost smartphones can barely get a sound to come out of them at all. Same with computers or game consoles. You definitely need a preamp of some kind. My advice, buy a decent USB mixing board. $120ish, it has the preamp built in usually, and you can use the physical EQ to save trouble with digital ones.

DACs hum so don't use them.
Use an audio driver in the PC like an adult.

My DAC doesn't hum at all...

I have a Fiio E12 portable headphone amp. Works great and its not that expensive

I've tested a few out. There isn't a difference in sound fidelity or quality, but I do find the bass booms more in closed-back. That's more of a preference thing. Some people like their bell rung, some people prefer it mellow.

Although I do like the experience of open-back. It's like the best of both worlds between speakers and headphones. More of a novelty than a necessity IMO

Use mine in a quiet office so can't really use open. If I'm at home I just use my speakers.

amazon.com/Spider-C-EAMP-WH02-XtremeBass-AMP-White/dp/B00GWUI194

I use that one. It's not the greatest, but it's also not bad at all. The main thing I like is, it's fucking TINY.

Sony WH-1000xm3

Best consumer noise cancelling I have ever had, impressively lightweight for a pair of bluetooth headphones, and very good sound quality (granted I'm not an audiophile). Very impressive battery life and charge times

10/10 for office / home
5/10 for on the go, microphone holes for noise cancellation makes rain risky

Main thing I don't like about them is
1.) I can't charge them and use them at the same time (they charge fast though tbf)
2.) You can't pair them to multiple bluetooth devices at the same time
3.) Not a fan of integrated batteries, since they will eventually degrade I'll have to take them apart to fit a new battery and haven't looked into what a pain that will be

Attached: WH-1000XM3_S_Standard-Mid-1024x682.jpg (1024x682, 39K)

1 other thing, the noise cancelling took about a day to get used to - as it feels disorientating at first, feels like you are in some kind of vacuum

wut

Beats i got them as a gift they're ok

Focal Utopia = God’s cans.

Can verify, Sony makes damn good bluetooth noise cancelling headphones. Got a pair as a gift about four years ago. The pads are still in great shape, the battery still lasts, and the sound quality is great. I love 'em. I got these ones though:

Noize Canceling is incredible good if you are daily driving in a train or bus.
They are comfortable af and are the 300€ worth

>focal utopia

That's a funny way to spell Sennheiser HD 820.

You say that like there's an objective definition of good. If those people say beats are good, then they're good. I personally don't like them, but not because of the sound quality, which is fine I suppose. Not the best I've ever heard, but not bad. They're just disgustingly overpriced and they break after about a year of regular use.
