19. I actually take good care of my teeth and brush after every meal. I don't even eat sweets or drink soda, and I rarely if ever have a problem with a tooth (maybe 4 times since I was 12) until this one exploded on its own. I was just doing something on my pc and heard a crack and the half of my tooth fell out; it was fine on the outside but rotten inside. Hasn't hurt even a tiny bit until now

Wasn't a problem at first, but cut to 2 years later and I have massive amount of pain in the tooth. Had a dental abscess, and it fucking sucked. Took some antibiotics the day after to kill off the infection but it was recommended I have the tooth out, cut to a week later and bye bye tooth. Luckily its a molar so can't see it's missing, but srs. Get to a dentist

Coming from someone that’s had too much work done on their teeth because of sport, the surgery isn’t painful because lignocaine is a wonder but it’s just the immediate aftermath that is less then exciting, 3 days post surgery and you’re more or less back to normal (depending)

If it is you could be not doing your mouth any favours because if you brush immediately after eating the acids from your foods can soften your enamel so when you brush then you’re actually brushing away some enamel

Infections can spread dangerously but it isn't common. They usually stay in the immediate area of the tooth even if you neglect them pretty badly. Obv you should get antibiotics for any large swelling, but fever or swelling up near your eye (for this tooth - in your neck for a bottom tooth) would merit an ER visit
