I live in the amazing state of CA and allot of American born Mexicans use children as paychecks from the government. Typically with 3 children single moms. If they were to honestly get an abortion they would get one if it was subsidized or not. It is called a pregnancy test and plan B.

Why wouldn't you immediately go to the police as soon as you've been raped? Why does it matter that the rapist ends up getting convicted or not? I get that it might be uncomfortable to talk about but christ, a severe crime was committed against you, report it. Furthermore, only 1.5% of abortions is attributed to rape or incest. Why should issues with the justice system have any impact on the 98.5% of abortions that never involve law enforcement to begin with?

If you are allowed to kill it at two months, why would you no longer be allowed to kill it at 4, 5, 10? Should women just at no point be expected to take responsibility for the actions they take? That's exactly the situation we had before this current mess. You don't seem to have any idea what the debate is actually about. One side, for a number of reasons wants it illegal. They will not be happy until it is impossible to obtain an abortion in the USA. The other side wants abortion to be legal. They will not be happy until it's easy to obtain a legal abortion everywhere in the USA. There is no middle ground. Compromise is impossible. The only solution is changing people's minds so that we're all on one side or the other.

These days it's increasingly prudish religious women pushing this. My mother is one of them. They're slut shaming each other. Their view is that other women need to keep their legs shut and that if they don't then they're dirty whores who should put the kid up for adoption. They feel that it's not their problem if a woman can't afford prenatal care and to give birth in a hospital because she knew she might get pregnant when she had sex. If it was truly about controlling women then there wouldn't be rape exceptions. They allow the rape exception because they think all rape is strangers violently attacking women and that doesn't let them view these women as slutty and deserving of punishment.

They understand it's the woman's choice. They don't view the choice as being whether or not to keep the baby. They view the choice as whether or not to have sex. They see any sex outside of marriage and not strictly for procreation as making you dirty, less of a person, and not much better than someone who strangled their neighbor. Since the act is the same in their minds why wouldn't they act like there's just as much of a moral obligation to heavily punish abortion as there is to heavily punish murder?

Rape is a horrific and traumatizing event. Even just having to think about it long enough to tell the police what happened can trigger mental breakdowns. Would you feel good about letting strangers in your house right after you got robbed? Hell no. Your security just got violated. You aren't going to trust it won't happen again for a while. Why would a rape victim whose body just got violated be comfortable with letting anyone near her vagina? In order to collect the evidence from her they have to carefully examine her groin for tears and bruises. Then they have to stick a q tip on her to try to get a sample of the guy's semen. Then they often refuse to look at that evidence for decades and they refuse to prosecute because "it's not fair to ruin a man's life over something so old.

The real reason women aren't believed is that many times they realize they aren't strong enough to successfully fight back and if they resist being raped they'll just get injured for no reason. When witnesses say they didn't scream for help, their vaginas aren't torn, and the rapist claims it was consensual it starts to look a lot like they're falsely claiming rape because they regret having sex.

Yeah, sex has some very unique emotional aspects to it. Not that the virgins here would know anything about that.

The way you resolve the abortion problem is simple. A three step process that doesn't take a lot of brain power.

1. Make abortion legal (I would never do it, honestly, but other's might).
2. If a woman gets pregnant she can abort the baby without the consent of the biological father
3. If she decides to keep the child the man can sign a document excluding him from any obligation. Child support... etc... everything and cannot be held accountable for anything and the woman has no say if he should or not.

You know what happens when you do that? Women know that if they have unprotected sex and they get pregnant they will be on their own. They will be more careful about who they have sex with. Hence, not be such whores and would prefer a man to be there with her (aka having a real relationship).

Men can still try to bang and knock them up if they want, but women will have the choices of if they do or not because it's 'their body' etc etc (which I don't believe).

So yeah, all of these people paying child support would cease to pay child support and the women will be more careful so they don't turn into pieces of shit.
