Yeah so?
Like 1000 years from now future?
That's nice.
Burn the coal, pay the price.
Lost
True. Electric cars cause global warning.
so what stops somebody from just going around unplugging all these stupid things?
If we all just rode motorcycles we wouldn't even be an issue. 50mpgs and its internal combination. 300 miles on a charge doesn't mean shit when you've irreparably fucked your nearest fresh water source but cooling nuclear reactors with the water. Enjoy your third nipples.
> be from michigan

>pulls out his low carbon emission hamster wheel booster
>spend 30 minutes freezing our ass off getting batteries charged to unlock doors and start car

I think you meant ohio
I think you are a jerk
Electric cars take batteries that are highly damaging to the environment with mining and their overall carbon footprint of being dug up, processed and shipped all over the world. And unless you live where there is actual renewable/sustainable energy, hydroelectric/wind/geothermal you are still getting electricity from burning fossil fuel, so it's pointless. I saw a study on this shit a while back and you need to own a Prius for a minimum of 15 years, for it to be come carbon neutral. Hydrogen is the way forward. Mythbusters proved it could be easily done too.
Bikes are more fuel efficient, but their emissions are off the chart and you can't haul anything with them.
True on the battery point, but how does that compare to the carbon footprint of an ICE car? Probably more but how much more?
As to the other point, there is an argument to be made for centralizing the point of emissions. We have CO2/NOx/SOx scrubbers that can be installed on power plants (worked on an R&D project myself on those), and power plants are far more efficient at generating energy per lb of fossil fuel burned than ICE cars are.
As for hydrogen, that would be fantastic except hydrogen is extremely volatile and needs to be kept under pressure IIRC (could be wrong on that though), making car crashes waaaaay more explosive.
also pretty ez to die on em
>As for hydrogen, that would be fantastic except hydrogen is extremely volatile and needs to be kept under pressure IIRC (could be wrong on that though), making car crashes waaaaay more explosive.
Another reason to start working on self-driving, intercommunicating, accident-free cars.
>except hydrogen is extremely volatile and needs to be kept under pressure IIRC
You do have to form a seal to fill hydrogen, but I don't not think the public is so stupid that they could not learn to do this. Safeties can also check pressure, literal pressure switches, to stop gas flow if it falls off or something. These feel like the excuses horse ranches used to make to keep people on horses and out of cars. As to your first point, The equipment and transport used to actually bring the batteries to final assembly is insane. They go all over the world Canada, Japan, China mainly, before hitting the US, Europe South America... That hangs a huge black cloud over the electric vehicle before it's even purchased, never mind where it's charged from which could be very friendly or a 50 year old smog belcher.
That's fucking awesome. I'll have look into H power some more it seems.
Agreed 100%
I lived in South Florida forever, we had dozens of bike events come to town every year and there was fatalities every time. It's not if, it's when.
Idiot
Yeah, I'll do more research on hydrogen, might change my opinion on it.
ICE cars also go through a shitload of transport between mining the materials, creating the parts, and assembling them though. I agree that the added component of the batteries adds to the overall carbon footprint of the car but how big of an increase is it compared to the typical ICE car?
home made?
Or you could just not be a dip shit and ride better
I've seen people die just as easy in cars as on bikes and they should've been driving better
Survival of the mother fuckin fittest
Yeah but when Stacey pulls in front of you in her busted down minivan you're a lot more fucked on a bike than in a car.
>E-cars are the future
Yes, I can just see myself sitting in a charging station for an hour or so until my battery has enough power to get me to work.
And the dense brown cloud of smoke from the coal-burning power stations needed to power the charging stations since renewable power has lost its huge subsidies because of the trade war with China.
And since we can no longer prop up our standard of living with cheap goods from China we have to work longer hours just to make ends meet.
Thanks Trump.
You can stop a lot quicker too. Not to mention you should've been looking way far ahead and saw that busted ass minivan about to pull out and maybe slowed up a bit before just having an expectation that miss stacey has any level brain power whatsoever.
Yea... dont ever give anyone the benefit of the doubt when you're on a bike always be aware, slow the fuck up if you have to, and trust your instincts cause they're all out to kill you.
says the tree hugging liberal faggot
>get me to work
>thanks trump
if you support trump, you dont want to work.thats why you voted for the guy who wrecked the economy with his tariffs and sent the jobs to mexico and china
seems like business owners are smarter then you redneck maga hat people
>You can stop a lot quicker too.
It's pretty hard to get an entitled bike-rider to stop. A car door will do it.
I'm not opposed to thinning the heard of entitled bike riders.
If you cant be smart enough to expect someone might open a car door in front of you... well... once again... survival of the fittest.
E cars will be the future along with robots. Jews will enslave everyone totally under the disguise of keeping the earth clean. They already have half of the world enslaved brainwashed and in the wrong direction at least hindus and buddhists have some goddamn direction. There will be pleasure and AI will be real.
