I'm the guy who has been making Eurotrip threads the last few nights.
I've decided that I'm just going to stay one week in Germany (most likely a Wednesday to Wednesday trip in late August), but I'm undecided between Berlin and Hamburg.
How do they compare and contrast? Which do you guys prefer?
My flight is already going to be 8 hours, so I'd like to limit travel time within Germany.

Oh and in case you didn't see the last thread, I'm a 24 year old straight male from New York, will be with one or two friends most likely. If someone can explain to me how the neighborhoods in Berlin work, I'd appreciate it.
One of the hotels I was looking at is in Charlottenburg, is that a good area to stay?

I am telling you the truth now (I am a Berliner) you should go to Berlin. So much more to see. Many World War 2 sights. HOT Women. BEST nightclub scene. VERY VERY nice dishes (personally favorite is the "Handschnitzel"). Beatuiful parks and nice peopel. You will have a great time. I promise.
