OTC pills? absolutely not. best case, you puke and nothing happens. worst case, you die slowly in excruciating agony over a whole week or two as your organs die.

a very small number of prescription pills, yes. like opiates (without tylenol) combined with antiemetics (or just injecting them) and for good measure alcohol or benzos. barbituates like pentobarbital will work. anything else would probably not work or kill you painfully.

Overdosing pills is pretty hard, you'll probably suffer more than you want to, and you could event survive with a shitty medical condition. Do yourself a favor and consult a psychiatrist. Less painful in the end.

Over the counter drugs? You'd really have to understand your pharmacology to stack enough drugs to put you in danger. Barring any preexisting conditions, and if you're generally healthy, OTC drugs would make you puke or give you a long, protracted death full of suffering and pain.

Rx drugs? Now you have some options. Opiates + benzos, washed down with alcohol, this one gets a lot of people. If you can get your hands on some fent/fent patches you could go out riding fent but if you're opiate naive you'd probably feel like shit from a super dose of fent. Anti-arrhythmics, if you can get a cardiologist to prescribe them, would be a novel way to go, but you'd have to get your hands on class I, III, or IV AA's to off yourself. Honestly you really have to try with pills and it typically isn't as easy as going to sleep unless you have some supertherapeutic dose doing the heavy lifting for you. A helium exit mask would be the easiest and cheapest to construct.

Tylenol overdose does kill you with liver failure but it takes weeks to die, in agony, in the hospital. My mom worked as a nurse. She said the worst suicides were the Tylenol ones because they had a week or two before they died and 99% of them realized they fucked up and just wanted to live.
