Pointless, but since we're here might as well do our best. Or our worst. Or the best at our worst. Depends.

off by 5 ARE YOU KIDDING ME

It’s really nothingness, but it appears to be something.

I spent over a decade of my life trying to find the true meaning or purpose of existence. I eventually concluded that there wasn't any, at which point life ironically became a lot more meaningful.

As cliche as it is, life is what you make it. This world is yours to explore.

THE LEGENDARY QUINTS STAHP COCK TEASING US Yea Forums

I've found the notion that life doesn't have any inherent meaning to it to be rather freeing. If nothing matters, then I get to decide what matters. I can give up worrying about other people's opinions, I can stop fretting about what happens after I die.

I get to do what I want, I get to develop myself as an individual and work towards the life and world that I envision.

We have no choice about our birth. And we must die someday. Existence is brief.

It really is. It's funny because it lasts our whole lives, but it is nothing more than a brief spark.

There is a certain beauty to the fact that when we are young time seems to drag on and on and we can't wait for the next thing to happen, but as we get older we are trying to grasp at every moment while being pulled by the current.

>surrender to win
This guy gets it

This guy also gets it.

Well, being a human is hard shit cause we all have a god complex and have to interact in a world that is composed of our god complex interwoven with everybody else's, exacerbated by technology.

But real, real existence is infinite... just think of the millions of life forms that had to live and yearn to give birth to an ungrateful little shit whining on the internet :P

thankfully

Kinda sucks. Think something is fine and then find out it's quite the opposite. I worry about it for a while then move on, thinking other things are fine and finding out it's the exact opposite again. Oh well, could be way worse.

Remember that opposites bring definition to each other. You cannot understand the light if there is no darkness, you can’t appreciate pleasure if you have no concept of pain. Likewise, evil is a natural counterpoint to good.

There is a creator. The world exists for you. You are not merely a lump of matter made animate. This life is a crucible through which we are refined and purified. Death is your graduation ceremony.

If all of this sounds like mysticism, that’s because it is. There is a greater truth few people ever even attempt to pursue. Most people will read this and immediately dismiss it as stupid, as bullshit or as meaningless, and that’s ok. That’s their journey. Whatever they’re going through, it’s just part of their development.

Existence is not meaningless. Your life is tailored to exactly the experiences you need. When you accept that everything has personal meaning, even the bad things, you can start working towards greeting each experience with passive ambivalence. Do not try to exert your will on the things beyond your control. Instead accept them and go with the flow. Find small bits of happiness in each one. The “silver lining”, so to speak. The better you get at this, the more good things the universe will give to you.

It sure does
