Friend at work keeps trying to convince me to try Valium

Good idea? I’ve not fucked with drugs much outside weed and coke, I like the idea of downers but I’m adverse to addiction. Is it fun for casual use?

Nah, only if you think it's fun to feel relaxed at lower doses and sleepy at higher doses. Mix with alcohol and it will multiply the effects of alcohol (and kill you if you consume enough). It's only any good as an anti-anxiety drug. Use it regularly and you'll get addicted, and kicking it is hell. I used to have a prescription for anxiety and I also drank, and I thought I was losing my mind when I tried to quit.

Benzos are shit. They are mildly euphoric to the point where the high itself is hardly noticeable. At higher doses where the effects are noticeable you will experience strong down side like blacking out, and doing extremely stupid out of character shit. I've seen so many people get into serious trouble on this shit and then wake up the next day having no idea what happened.

Its too fun. Its so chill, that you can get hooked just like that. And as mentioned above, u can do so unbealievably stupid shit that u could never even think of, like rob a store, grope some woman, beat up a stranger, sell your belongings all that fun and good stuff.

Benzos are, imo, more dangerous than H (except shooting up). It's really not worth it. I once got jailed because I started doing really stupid shit on Xannies and some beers. Was one of the most frightening experiences I've ever had. If you want to try them, don't have more than two or three beers around and keep count of the amount you consume.

How do you retards do stupid shit you don't remember on benzos? I have a prescription for klonopin, and I've taken 4mgs or more multiple times, and I've never done anything I've forgotten. I took 14mg with a bunch of sleeping pills once last year to try and overdose, and remember every minute I wasn't asleep. Shit's not even worth it, there's no recreational value at all.

If you get addicted benzo withdrawal can actually be lethal and it's horrible, you get withdrawal from just one dose

No it doesn't? Klonopin is one of the longest lasting benzos, almost as long as Valium, and that's completely irrelevant. If you do stupid shit then that's your fault. I haven't even taken any in days, I don't know how people get addicted to it, all it does is make me not give a fuck about anything so I don't do anything at all.

This. First time taking Xanax was enjoyable, likened to feeling waved/buzzed off the first few pints of alcohol. That was for the first half hour before it made me so drowsy fell asleep.

What you need to ask yourself is why your friend is so keen on constantly trying to get you to try benzos. Not in a malicious sense, but people who hound you constantly to try drugs are a bad influence.

no. benzo addiction can have actual health consequencess. you can just quit cold turkey after you have a physical addiction, the risk of seizure is great. it wont be pleasant.
there are other funner and safer drugs you can experiment with. cannabis, psychedelics like mushrooms or lsd

However it's very easy to cruise through the day munching on them. Before you know it your addicted. Then have dangerous detox to go through. Worst part is you don't know if you will be able to have them on the rare occasion or you will love the feeling and get additiced to them.

I was addicted as fuck to benzos. If I had a choice, I'd live in the middle of nowhere by myself doing nothing but popping benzos playing vidya and not giving a fuck.

If you have anxiety issues, benzos will make you just not give a fuck about anything, and you will find shit more enjoyable. If you already don't give a fuck, you will barely notice anything until you take too much and black out.
