most of the people on this site now were toddlers when ytmnd was at its peak

soulcrushing yet true. perhaps this is the moment I realize I've gotten too old for this place, and it's changed too much to have much worth in me returning in the future
>tfw a bunch of people that follow a random youtuber have much more respect for ytmnd than fucking Yea Forums, the only (sort of) nieche website from the early 2000's that is still around today.
Pic related, I am the OP from that thread, I was planning to make something to change Yea Forums but gave up after realizing it's as useless as dumping brine on the sea.
If that is true, it is truly a sad day for the Internet. Big RIP.

it's too late my friend, and there's nowhere left to go. It's like being a rat on a sinking ship filled with newfags that think the andysixx or whatever shit meme is funny.. I mean it's an evolution of the banana, which itself is a product of the Boxxy meme. In many ways I feel like that's when things really took a turn for the worse. Sure, people point to gamergate and chanology, and those were causes.. but the day Yea Forums died was the day Boxxy was first posted

I'm honestly depressed by this. I was working all day an I'm pretty fucking sad now.
The people who minge and complain about old Yea Forums are just as bad honestly.

Honestly I never thought that the Andy Sixx threads where cancer. Sure, the meme went on for too long, but really what I think is killing Yea Forums is the porn. Ever since ads where introduced to this site and Yea Forums started appearing in mainstream media, it all went to shit. It's kind of ironic considering that I firmly believe on that, despite the fact that what finally got me into Yea Forums were greentext narrations by Punished Creepswork

My negro, I have been thinking that same thing a lot lately. Yeah, Yea Forums was always shit, but it was clever shit and unique shit; Its where memes were born and the rest of the world stole them from... and now? Bullshit race baiting (Yea Forums doesnt even know how to racist anymore), traps and cuckold threads.
Shit posting used to be an art, and shitposts were worth reading. Now it's like a retard just posting autistic garbage.
But no one cares now, everyone is busy being unironically ironic or edgy. flame away.
Alexander Rogers
The Andy Sixx threads and the banana threads ended up being about the only original or clever things being posted.
I was kind of sad when I realized it. But putting the banana in place of people in memes, or someone saying something with the word log in it, and it gets a reply of Andy Sixx saying "What?".... that's damn close to old Yea Forums clever. Combo breakers, frosted butts... people were trying back then.

Yup, while it is a good replacement board for Yea Forums, I have felt it's starting to feel kinda stale. Also I want to post and read greentexts. >inb4 redditfag Most of the shit on Reddit is artificially made. I know that finding greentexts is about lurking, but nobody seems to post them anymore
John Rodriguez
>greentexts Lurk forever.

some of my favorites disappeared many years ago
does anyone remember the one where >it's the end of Return of the Jedi >everyone is celebrating, and Luke looks over and sees obiwan > they show Luke and he smiles >Now Yoda's ghost is next to Obi-Wan >Luke's smile grows >Now there's boba fett and some stormtrooper's ghost >Luke looks visibly confus >it goes back to the ghosts and more and more appear until every character that died in the original series is taking up the entire visual space, including Jabba the Hutt ??? Profit

Don't worry user, I like [s4s], but I forgot to mention that Yea Forums should be more about general conversations
Charles Sullivan
never seen that one, but sounds cool also, nice dubs

Ytmnd is what brought me here back in 2005, it will be missed
