When do you get your next day off user?
L5r is "The legend of the five rings". It's a tabletop RPG system like DND but for more eastern/samurai styled stories.
Tomorrow I'm running a short session for my friend and he's going to run a short session for me. We don't have any other friends interested in playing so we're just using this as a way to tell stories we each think the other would like
Also I'm watching an anime called Ingress rn. I'm on episode 2 and it seems interesting if weird

yes, i took one 20 minute break but was otherwise standing the whole time. hmmm rush isnt a good way to put it, its not a regular restaurant. i can explain if youre curious
my next day off is wednesday, and the rest of the week looks pretty easy so it'll be alright
oooo that sounds pretty cool. i think telling stories to each other is kind of what tabletop roleplaying is all about. its the dialogue thats important, and i mean the give and take of player and dungeon master or the l5r equivalent.
i hope its super fun!

Also i had no idea what I was getting into with this show. I just clicked on the first anime I hadn't seen yet and this was it. I had completely forgotten about Ingress the mobile game as I'd only heard of that in passing when Pokemon go was coming out.
It seems ok so far and ok is good enough for me at 2AM haha

its an event hall that caters, so there is no 'rush' all the work comes back at once and i have to slowly work through it until its all done.
i prefer it that way honestly, but some events are just insanely large, sunday was ~1200 people
yes, im looking forward to things slowing down, even if its only for a few days, i need that wednesday off.
yeah for sure, combat is typically bogged down and there's too many technicalities in rules and stuff, its everything else thats fun
i used to play AD&D with a few close friends, but it started losing its charm and was getting downright frustrating to go every week and then i quit going
well there's nothing necessarily stopping it from being good, that's just an unfair assumption of mine. i really do hope you get some enjoyment out of it

I get that. I think that just having two people running games for each other cuts down significantly on the issues with downtime and whatnot you experience with a "full party"
You can also have way more specialized stories
I have one long-term game going with 8 people. It's rough sometimes but the dm is honestly a God so I keep going back

yeah that sounds pretty interesting, we've always had pretty large parties. i used to think it was because it was the correct way to play, but now im kind of convinced it was my DM's problem, that he had issues with balancing the style of the game with the characters we wanted to play, and i know its supposed to be give-and-take on both sides, but he implemented a solid railroad mechanic into the game just a few sessions before i decided id never come back, it really set in stone that i couldnt trust anything he did anymore.
i guess thats pretty unfair of me, but id rather just have an extra day free anyway, it had been boring for years.
oh interesting, that sounds pretty cool. i havent played any ttrpg at all since i quit. i dunno how long its been now, months at least. half a year?

i watched 6 or so episodes so far. its really good but i have a very hard time watching things consistently week after week unless im super super interested. i can usually only handle about one anime a season, two tops.
